AGGIUNTA RAM E RUMORE STRANO ***AIUTO !!***

Ho aggiunto un giga di ram nell altra slot modello pc 3200, io ne avevo già su 512 Mb, dopo che l ho aggiunto provo ad accendere il pc e mi fa 3 "bip" sospende e ancora lo stesso suono continuamente e non mi fa partire il pc.

Come mai ?

il problema può essere che nelle ram ci sia scritto ECC e la mia scheda madre, quella sopra citata, non le supporta ?

il problema può essere che nelle ram ci sia scritto ECC e la mia scheda madre, quella sopra citata, non le supporta ?

- Lascia solo la vecchia ram e prova ad avviare.
- Lascia solo la nuova ram e prova ad avviare.

Con la prima dovresti risolvere il problema, con la seconda darti una risposta alla domanda.

Come da te ipotizzato, credo che il problema risieda in quel banco di ECC che hai aggiunto. Nel caso interessasse, ecco il wiki per le ram ecc, giusto per sapere cosa sono e come funzionano:

"AM with ECC or Error Correction Code can detect and correct errors. As with parity RAM, additional information needs to be stored and more processing needs to be done, making ECC RAM more expensive and a little slower than non-parity and parity RAM. This type of ECC memory is especially useful for any application where uptime is a concern. Failing bits in a memory word are detected and corrected on the fly with no impact to the application. The occurrence of the error is typically logged by the operating system for analysis by a technical resource. In the case where the error is persistent, server downtime can be scheduled to replace the failing memory unit. This mechanism of detection and correction is known as EEC or Extended Error Correction."

Deduco che il Gb di ram che ho messo non sia compatibile con la mia scheda madre in quanto non supporta ECC...

bene, vai a fartela cambiare con ram non-ECC.
