Ram pc 3200 1 giga: 200 o 400mhz?

Ciao,
vorrei aumentare la ram del mio pc che attualmente ha 2 banchi da 512 (4 slot) aggiungendone altri due da 1GB ma in commercio continuo a trovare delle 1GB 184Pin PC3200 DDR-400 DDR RAM 400mhz
sono compatibili oppure devo cercarne a 200mhz? a cosa devo fare attenzione nelle varie sigle che compaiono? ad esempio quelle che ho lavorano a 2,5v ma in commercio ne ho viste a 3v.
non sono molto pratico e sono già rimasto scottato quindi mi servirebbe qualche consiglio.
