Apple Store Boston to become the biggest ever!

You can find many things on Boylston Street in Boston: Boston Common, the Prudential Center, Emerson College, Copley Square, the public library, the public garden, and soon, the largest Apple store in the world. The Boylston Street store will be the first Apple Store in the city--the current closest being in Cambridge, which is located on three-block walk at the end of the Green Line at Lechmere. The Boston Store will open later this month on Friday, May 16 at 6pm.

One store employee told Gizmodo that Apple is expecting between 1,500 and 2,000 customers per hour, which is apparently 10 times the average for Apple stores. The store is currently covered in a Green Monster-esque cover sporting a giant Apple logo. The sign declares, "Opening Day. Coming Soon. Apple Store Boylston St," with the "Apple Store Boylston St." in the familiar scoreboard style of the nearby Fenway Park. When the artificial storefront is removed, the familiar glass cube style will be revealed. Some of us secretly wish that Apple would stick with the scoreboard look.

The addition of the Apple Store Boston just confirms what New Englanders have suspected for years: that we are, indeed, better than everyone else, and there is nothing any of you can do about it.
