Rete wireless sparita da laptop con ubuntu

Ho UBUNTU 7.10 su laptop Acer 5612 dopo alcune modifiche non influenti sull'utilizzo della rete wireless del portatile non riesco più a collegarmi con il router (LINKSYS WAG54GS), in effetti è sparita la rete wireless, vi posto la mia condizione:

purtroppo no, funge solo con il cavo.
