Difficoltà ad installare gnome-ppp
Salve a tutti, dopo il problema risolto riguardo l'installazione della versione ubuntu 7.10 desktop i386 sostituita con ubuntu 7.10 alternate i386, ho riscontrato un nuovo problema.
Anticipando che non essendo coperto dal servizio adsl, utilizzo per connettermi a Internet la linea telefonica con teleconomy internet. Dopo aver abilitato tramite il gestore driver con restrizioni, il software modem driver, ho provato ad installare gnome-ppp. Tengo a precisare che avevo già installato ubuntu 7.10 sul mio notebook e che ero ruscito ad installare gnome-ppp, ma avevo difficoltà nell'installazione del modem, che ora ho risolto scoprendo il modo di abilitarlo. Credo che gnome ppp stia nel repository "universe" per cui installarlo senza connessione sia dura.
Puoi scaricare il pacchetto con un altro pc e vedere se si installa (sempre che siano risolte le dipendenze) http://packages.ubuntu.com/cgi-bin/d...i386&type=main poi se hai bisogno di una guida alla configurazione: http://wiki.ubuntu-it.org/Hardware/M...areConnessione PS non installare programmi come root, fallo da utente normale usando il comando "sudo".
