Aiuto per configurare Raid

Salve avrei bisogno di un Vs aiuto,ho acquistato questa sk madre Gigabyte GA-P35-DS4 e questi 2 HD Hitachi 80GB 7K80 SATA II adesso volevo sapere,perchè sono totalmente inesperto e non voglio combinare casini,come configurarli in Raid 0.Tenendo presente che reinstallerò il S.O.(winXP) mi potete dire le procedure da eseguire in ordine per eseguire tutto ciò?

Intanto scarica i driver intel e prepara il floppy per l'instalazione di windows XP
(premere tasto F6)

Questa voce "Native mode" sembra per settare certe compatibilita' di dischi SATA con annesse le nuove funzioni con sistemi operativi datati.

SATA RAID/AHCI Mode invece e' per usare o RAID, o AHCI quindi tutte le specifiche SATA meglio SATAII, oppure PATA quindi come dischi IDE
serve sostanzialmente per settare il controller INTEL ICH9R, farlo funzionare come RAID o meno.


sono due opzioni dipendenti, se vuoi usare il RAID o le specifiche AHCI, si presuppone tu abbia dei dischi SATA, quindi meglio ENABLE native mode.

AHCI (Advanced Host Controller Interface) è un meccanismo hardware che permette di comunicare coi device Serial ATA ed è in grado di offrire funzionalità avanzate.

AHCI è pienamente supportato con Windows Vista e Linux (dalla versione del kernel 2.6.19 in avanti) ed è attivabile configurando in modo opportuno il BIOS del proprio sistema.

Con tutti gli altri sistemi operativi è necessario installare opportuni driver tramite floppy disk prima di effettuare la modifica al BIOS, in modo da evitare schermate di errore ed il non riconoscimento dell'hard disk.

Attenzione che la schedra madre ha un secondo controller RAID, il primo e' quello intel ICH9R ed il secondo e' propietario Gigabyte. Le porte SATA gialle sono del controller Intel, le porte viola sono del controller Gigabyte.

Onboard SATA/IDE Ctrl Mode (GIGABYTE SATA2 Chip)
Enables or disables RAID for the SATA controller integrated in the GIGABYTE SATA 2 chip or configures the SATA controller to AHCI mode.
