compatibilità HD esterno

[franco causio]

Ciao,

ho problemi di spazio. Ho 2 HD interni, uno da 80 giga e l'altro da 10 giga.

Vorrei avere più spazio per il file di emule e per acquisizioni di filmati digitali dalla telecamera.

Pensavo di comprare un HD esterno. Tutti quelli che ho visto si collegano con USB 2.0 mentre io ho solo porte USB.....

se integrate sulla mobo hai solo usb 1.1 la soluzione migliore è una scheda PCI aggiuntiva con porte usb 2.0, io ho fatto così e funziona alla grande

Mi sembra di averne visti in giro con Fireware al posto dell'usb 2.0...
Altrimenti prendine uno usb2 e prendi anche la schedina usb2 come diceva SeThCoHeN che serve per tutto

Eccomi di nuovo.

Allora ho fatto come suggerivate: ho appena montato una scheda PCI aggiuntiva per USB 2.0 e ho collegato un HD esterno Lacie 7200 da 320 giga.

Come devo fare per trasferirvi i dati (da C a G)?
Ho usato copia + incolla per alcuni files avi (filmati di mia produzione con telecamera digitale) ma dopo alcuni minuti (dice che ne mancherebbero 235 ca.) si blocca e mi dice the il file è troppo grande che che sul disco di destinazione non c'è abbastanza spazio (!!).

Files più piccoli riesce invece a trasferirli ma piuttosto lentamente..

E' tutto normale nel senso che trasferire dati è faticoso per il pc o posso avere altri problemi (del tipo ho montato la scheda PCI male???)

Dopo aver montato e installato la scheda PCI regolarmente o aperto la gestione delle periferiche e sembra a a posto.


Scusate se faccio un po' di casino ma per me è difficile..

L'hard disk esterno e' formattato in FAT32 e i files che tenti di copiare sono piu grandi di 4 GB? Se si' formatta il disco in NTFS.

La lentezza per USB è normale: il transfer rate massimo di solito si attesta sui 30/32 MB/s contro quello dei dischi interni che può superare il doppio
Io credo che sarebbe stato meglio cambiare uno dei dischi interni con un più grande
Comunque per convertire da FAT32 a NTFS il disco puoi farlo direttamente da windows
Vai nella prompt di DOS e scrivi "Help convert" e ti verranno date le istruzioni per lanciare il comando di conversione

ho fatto nell'ultimo mese varie prove, ma secondo me il trasferimento dati da c: al nuovo HD esterno G: è troppo lento.
Per trasferire 3/4 file avi da 700 mb l'uno ca., ci metter almeno 15 minuti.

Cosa dite è normale o c'è qualcosa che non va sulla porta usb 2.0 (visto che l'ho montata io...)?

Oppure dovrei aggiornare qualche driver (scusate se questa è una scemenza...)
