GA-X38-DQ6 sarà la mobo di Gigabyte con X38 che supporterà le DDR2,
mentre la X38T sarà quella per le DDR3,
entrambe saranno compatibili con:

• 45nm Penryn
• 1.600Mhz FSB
• 1.066Mhz memory

presenti inoltre: Ultra Durable 2, dual x16 PCI-EXpress 2.0 col supporto al CrossFire, dual Gigabit Ethernet LAN con Teaming function

Le versioni Asus si chiameranno invece Maximus, e come per la Blitz, ci sarà la versione Formula e la versione Extreme

e sono previste per "inizio settembre"

assieme a queste due ci sarà anche la P5E3 Deluxe , sempre con supporto a Penryn, e alle DDR3, non viene specificato se saranno compatibili le DDR2, confermato il supporto al Crossfire

Intel ha rimosso il supporto IDE s dal ICH9R, quindi ASUS ha optato per equipaggiarla con un Agere controller per il supporto IDE

Le due nuove tecnologie di Bearlake:
Extreme Memory e Extreme Tuning Utility
