Premetto che ho fatto delle ricerche ma non ho trovato nessun
test di due X1800GTO identiche con i Catalyst 6.4 beta quì sul forum.

in rete ho trovato questo:

La X1800 GTO è Crossfire ready e come le X1600 e le X1300 non necessita di una scheda Crossfire Edition per creare la piattaforma dual VGA di ATI

vorrei sapere se avendo una X1800GTO originale ed una X1800XT si può
ottenere il Crossfire, magari modificando il bios della xt con quello della gto
si dice che questo Crossfire è pari allo SLI di due 7600GT

Se sì che driver mi consigliate?

Conclusion

Our Crossfire testing proves that two X1800 GTO's, even on an older dual 8x board will still provide good performance. Despite the gains that an X1800 Crossfire Master card setup present, that's hardly a viable solution and should not be considered in place of another X1800 GTO. Hopefully ATI can extend the cableless option across most of their range to make their dual-GPU solution truly competitive with SLI as far as usability goes. While bandwidth would likely be a limiter on higher end boards, any solution ATI can work out that doesn't require the cable will be a bonus to them and the user.

Right now, two X1800 GTO's pose good competition for two 7600 GT's in SLI and anyone considering two 7600's should take a look at GTO numbers as well. Both setups trade off with eachother in different games performance wise, though the primary benefit of an ATI setup is the ability to run with both AA and HDR on at the same time. NVIDIA's solution conversly will cost somewhat less depending on where you go.

In regards to the Power Color X1800 GTO, it performs exactly as any X1800 GTO would, although in our case, this is undermined by the very poor choice of cooler on our specific board. While mixing and matching a cooler might be acceptable if the performance deltas were not so drastic, not knowing whether the cooler on the board in the box will be of the larger, more capable variation or the poorer, louder and older variation, will definitely be a cause of some consternation amongst potential buyers. We haven't seen any boards from e-tailers or other review sites that feature the same cooler as our board, though Power Color was unable to confirm how many of the individual configurations have shipped to resellers. We did receive a retail board so there are clearly some with the poorer cooler being sent out.
