Kingmax Semiconductor Inc., a leader in memory upgrading solutions, today announced the release of the new PC-166 TinyBGA SDRAM 128MB/256MB 168-pin DIMM. Based on its advanced TinyBGA packaging technology and finest DRAM die geometry process -.15u, Kingmax has outperformed its competitors by delivering lightning fast 166MHz speed and whopping 1.32Gbyte-per-second maximum data transfer rate to avid overclockers and performance-hungry users. All PC-166 TinyBGA SDRAM Modules come with lifetime warranty. Each Kingmax PC-166 TinyBGA module is tested on Advantest Memory Tester to ensure all components are 100% free of manufacturing defect and, afterward, is individually tested on actual 183MHz platform prior to actual shipment. Moreover, Kingmax PC-166 TinyBGA SDRAM DIMM is guaranteed to be downward compatible on 150Mhz,133MHz, 100MHz, and 66MHz FSB platforms.

PC-166 TinyBGA 168pin Unbuffered DIMM Advantages:
Smaller Package Outline: 28Mbit (11mmx13mm) - 45.6% smaller than 128Mbit 54-pin TSOP

Superb Electrical Performance: lower RLC value and higher maximum withstanding frequency of 250MHz

Better Thermal Dissipation: lower thermal resistance value R transfer heat away from the component faster than the TSOP counterpart

Get More Work Done Faster: up to the peak bandwidth of 1.32GB/sec (comparing to the bandwidth of 1.06GB/sec of PC-133 to satisfy the need of the performance-hungry users and die-hard overclockers alike.

Cost-effective Solution for Overclockers Choice: Users get more performance for the money spent - thus increasing the performance/cost ratio.
PC-166 TinyBGA 168pin Unbuffered DIMM specifications:
Industry standard 168pin DIMM format

Low Profile - 1 inch height

CAS Latency = 3 at 166MHz

Peak Bandwidth of 1.32GB/sec

Module Capacity Options: 128/256MB

128Mbit TinyBGA 54-ball-16Mx8 (for 128/256MB modules)
Product Availability: June 2001
