ati 9550 256 agp e continui restart

ciao a tutti è il mio primo messaggio
ho sostituito la scheda video ati 9000 pci 64mb con una ati 9550 256mb agp il processore è amd la mobo è asus a7v8x-x
ho formattato il disco e ho reinstallato xp.
a questo punto senza nessun driver installato , ho sostituito la scheda video.
al riavvio è stato identificato il nuovo hardware ed è stato caricato il driver standard di xp.
Dopo pochi secondi il sistema si resetta e si riavvia il pc
Entro nel bios e nell'opzione "prymary vga bios" seleziono agp.
Riavvio il sistema , sembra funzionare ma poi si resetta di nuovo.
Carico i driver originali e si resetta di nuovo.
vado nel pannello di controllo--->sistema--->avvio e ripristino e disabilito il riavvio automatico. e il pc si blocca con schermata blu.
Al riavvio il messaggio di errore fa riferimento a uba cartella:
C:\windows\minidump\mini083106-06.dmp -
e un'altra anomalia con riferimento a sysdata.xml
Il pc è stato formattato più volte senza miglioramenti
La scheda è stata sostituita con un'altra di pari modello
Con la vecchia pci funziona regolarmente
Cosa posso fare?

escluderei un problema software visto che hai reinstallato il s.o.

che alimentatore hai?
in particolare verifica sulla targhetta dell'ali gli amperaggi sulla linea dei 12V. se sono molto bassi, forse il tuo ali potrebbe non reggere la scheda video. I reset potrebbero essere dovuti a questo anche se di solito succede con schede video molto più potenti e molto più esose in termini di amperaggi.

diversamente potrebbe essere una incompatibilità con la mobo, risolvibile con un aggiornamento del bios.

purtroppo bisogna andare per tentativi...

NON PENSO SIA UN PROBLEMA DI ALIMENTAZIONE PERCHè IERI SERA DOPO AVER DISATTIVATO I RESTART AUTOMATICI è RIMASTA IN PIEDI E FUNZIONANTE PER OLTRE MEZZ'ORA POI SI è PIANTATA

per favore non usare il maiuscolo chè equivale a gridare ed è un pò fastidioso...

ti consiglio comunque di verificare l'ali così lo escludiamo con certezza e passiamo a valutare altro. Basta aprire il case e seguire le indicazioni contenute in questo thread:http://www.hwupgrade.it/forum/showthread.php?t=1200171

in alternativa, potresti aggiornare il bios della scheda madre, quello più recente lo potrai trovare sul sito della asus...

ho ricevuto la risposta da ati e ve la posto qui sotto .
in ogni caso ho risolto aggiornando il bios della mobo e installando i driver ultimi disponibili.
nel dubbio ho anche messo il sp2 di xp
