problemi con gdm

ciao a tutti ragazzi,
da oggi, inspiegabilmente, pi è apparso uno strano problema con gdm.
Mi compare la schermata..mi loggo, ed appare una finestra di errore dicendomi:
"Your session only lasted less than 10 seconds. If you have not logged out yourself, this could mean that there is some installation problem or that you may be out of diskspace. Try logging in with one of the failsafe sessions to see if you can fix this problem."
questo è il .xsession-errors:

se stoppo gdm e do startx, X parte tranquillamente..quindi è un problema di gdm...
qualcuno saprebbe aiutarmi?
