ciao a tutti!
la mia richiesta è abbastanza particolare, a molti può sembrare curiosa...
quando eseguo una ricerca nei portali tipo google, altavista, ecc., per ricercare una parola già immessa nel campo di ricerca clicco la mia freccetta bassa in modo da arrivare subito a ciò che mi serve (ovvero ciò che ho già digitato).
per lavoro la cosa è parecchio utile, perchè mi permette di sveltirmi molto e di non dimenticare nulla.
ora...mi son sempre chiesto come si faccia a eliminare periodicamente le parole immesse.
lo chiedo perchè ora ho parecchie cose cercate e quindo molta confusione e perchè periodicamente mi servono altre strade...
è mai possibile che parole cercate 2 anni fa mi appaiano puntualmente come per ricordarmi "ehi, ci siamo anche noi!"... perchè i portali non le rimuovono dopo un pò? e come faccio a toglierle di mezzo io?

sure if I visualize your question correctly.

Method 1: Just click on the Google icon on the left side toolbar and select “Clear Search History" on the drop-down menu.

Method 2: Delete the History subkey in the following Registry Hive:

[-HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Google\NavClient\1.1\History]

in my "regedit" I can see these keys...
NAV client/1.1/ then three folders...options, run once, usage.
which is the correct one?

ps: is this method useful for altavista, too?

deleting the History subkey.

As far as Altavista is concerned, it has never been my favorite search engine, however, searching my files, I have found the following note:

Make sure Discovery is disabled, set the subkey value to 00 00:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\CompaqComputerCorporation\AltaVista Search\MyComputer\CurrentVersion\VistaBar\SimpleHistory

Most likely, this note is referring to the Win9x, NT era.

I have deleted the files, but the problem remains...
maybe there are other files to delete.
can I delete all the files connected to internet in regedit in order to erase the settings etc???

there is not much you can do with Regedit at this point.

The solution now depends mostly on your browser\search engine configurations.

Take a look at these configurations for a possible solution to your particular settings.
