Problema: blue screen of death in avvio e chiusura

Ciao ragazzi,
mi serve il vostro aiuto!
Da qualche settimana il mio sistema è affetto da blocchi casuali sia in avvio che in chiusura.
Il pc ha due anni e non hai mai avuto simili problemi. Non ho installato nessun nuovo hardware. Tuttavia già a dicembre avevo formattato a causa della stessa schermata blu d'errore in uscita (riportata sotto), riuscendo a risolvere il problema, che però adesso si ripresenta.
Quando utilizzo giochi e applicazioni tutto è perfettamente stabile.
Il problema, ripeto, si presenta in maniera assolutamente casuale.
La schermata blu d'errore che compare all'avvio riporta sempre il seguente messaggio:

IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
STOP: 0x0000000A (0x00000004, 0x00000002, 0x00000001, 0x804ED24E)

L'errore in chiusura di winXP è sempre questo:

INVALID_WORK_QUEUE_ITEM
STOP: 0x00000096 (0x84B95644, 0x80561440, 0x80561440, 0xF75F6BF0)
NDIS.sys - Address F75F6BF0 base at F75F0000, DateStamp 41107ec3

Ho testato le memorie con memtest86+, gli ho fatto fare 4 pass e ho rilevato 0 errori.
Ho rilassato al max i timings delle mie corsair e tolto l'overclock al procio, ma nulla è cambiato.
Visto che NDIS.sys ha a che fare con le connessioni di rete ho controllato che la scheda wireless usb funzionasse a dovere e non ho rilevato problemi.
L'unica stranezza rilevata è che la porta ieee 1394 della audigy ha lo stesso IRQ18 del modem 56k. Che dipenda da quello?

Hai provato a disinstallare/reinstallare i drivers del modem? In gestione periferiche qualcosa è riportato come non correttamente installato? Provato a riavviare/spegnere col numero minore di periferiche possibile?
Sullo stop 0x0000000A ho trovato:
Possible Resolutions:

* A Stop 0xA message might occur after installing a faulty device driver, system service, or firmware. If a Stop message lists a driver by name, disable, remove, or roll back the driver to correct the problem. If disabling or removing drivers resolves the issues, contact the manufacturer about a possible update. Using updated software is especially important for multimedia applications, antivirus scanners, and CD mastering tools.

* A Stop 0xA message might also be due to failing or defective hardware. If a Stop message points to a category of devices (video or disk adapters, for example), try removing or replacing the hardware to determine if it is causing the problem.
Insomma hardware o software; visto, però, che l'errore in chiusura punta ad un driver mi concentrerei prima sul soft.

Dopo provo a reinstallare il modem, cmq non ho problemi segnalati in gestione periferiche.
C'è un modo per modificare gli IRQ?
