Aiutatemi... problema con driver ATI2DVAG con ATI RANDEON x300SE

Ciao a tutti.
Sono nuovo di questo forum ma spero che possiate aiutarmi.
ho comprato un pc nuovo:
P4 3GHz
scheda madre: ASUS P5SDI-FM2
scheda video: ATI RANDEON x300 SE (catalyst 5.8)
1024 RAM

Appena ho acceso il pc dopo 20 minuti windows crashava a causa del driver ATI2DVAG.
ho aggiornato tutti i driver (catalyst 5.13) ma non cambia nulla.
All'avvio tutto funziona perfettamente, dopo qualche minuto tutto si blocca.
Ho collegato alla scheda un monitor CRT LG77G che supporta frequenze fino ai 100Hz.
Ho provato tutte le frequenze di refresh possibili e noto che alle bassissime frequenze (56HZ)
tutto risulta più stabile (si blocca tutto dopo circa 1 ora)
Cosa posso fare?
devo settare catalyst in maniera corretta?
ho notato che la temperatura della CPU varia dai 45 ai 49 gradi è troppo?
Premetto che non mi interessano i giochi su PC... a me basta che tutto funzioni!!!!

ila VPU mi blocca il sistema perchè il driver ati2dvag termina in uno stato di loop infinito. ho trovato questa soluzione al problema sul sito ATI:
. Basic BIOS options.
NOTE: These options may vary depending on the type/version of your system. You may or may not have all these options present.
 Video BIOS Shadow - DISABLED
 Init Primary Display - AGP (Toggle this setting if your video card is PCI)
 AGP MASTER 1W/S READ/WRITE - ENABLED/DISABLED (Toggle this option)
 AGP Aperture size - 128 MB
 AGP Driving Control - AUTO
 Disable AGP 8x/4x mode in the BIOS.
 Disable AGP Fast Writes in the BIOS.
 AGP Driving Control - AUTO
 AGP Performance Control - ENABLED/DISABLED (Toggle this option)
 Assign IRQ for VGA - ENABLED
 System Bios Cacheable - DISABLED
 Video BIOS Cacheable - DISABLED
 VIDEO RAM Cacheable - DISABLED
 Read Around Write - ENABLED/DISABLED (toggle this setting)
 PnP OS installed - YES

3. BIOS Settings for ADVANCED USERS:
NOTE: These options may vary depending on the type/version of your system. You may or may not have all these options.
 Load optimized defaults in your BIOS
 Set your memory settings to default values (I.e.. DRAM Timing = SPD)
 Lower the memory frequency to 133/166mhz (effectively DDR266/333mhz)
 If available increase AGP Voltage to 1.6 - 1.8 in the BIOS
 SDRAM Cycle length - 2.5
 Bank Interleave - ENABLE/DISABLE (toggle this setting - It will only make a difference if you have more than one memory module.)
 DRAM Burst length - 4

il fatto è che non trovo queste opzioni nel mio BIOS ... per accedere alle funzioni avanzate come devo fare?
Non "vedo" queste opzioni perchè ho disabilitato la scheda ATI dal pannello di controllo? (questo per evitare blocchi)
oppure più semplicemte perchè la mia scheda è una PCIEX e la mia mobo non supporta l'AGP?
ma allora come risolvo il problema?

la soluzione trovata sembra essere adatta solo per schede AGP... e per le schede pciexpress?

fossi in te aggiornerei il bios della scheda madre, e controllerei le RAM con un software tipo Goldmemory (lo trovi su google)

grazie per il consiglio... comunque il bios è aggiornato al 7/11/05 (credo che si legga 11 luglio...) è che non riesco a trovare sul sito asus il bios nuovo per la mia mobo, ho trovato qualcosa per la P5SD2, ma la mia è la P5SD1, andrà bene ugualmente? boooooo
ma goldmemory (che io sappia) funziona tramite floppy... ma io non ho il lettore floppy... quindi?
