L'audio non va con Mandrake

grazie per la fiducia questo cmq è il link delle specifiche della mia mobo http://www.epox.nl/english/products/...d/8rda3%2B.htm ,la mia è la ver 1.1 che differenzia soltanto per il south bridge da questa che ha il controller serial ata integrato,ed è ben specificato qual'è il chip audio,per l'output del dmesg a piu tardi ora sto studiando,domani ho le'same di sistemi operativi modulo A.
PS:cmq non ho ancora capito perche reistallare i driver del chipset,tenerli aggiornati non fa mai male,ma a che pro farlo?

ti invito anche a dare un'occhiata allo schema di pag. 14 (1-8) dal quale si vede chiaramente che il chip cmedia viene connesso al bridge nforce. Se non risolvi gli eventuali problemi con il chipset nforce probabilmente la sk audio non funzionera' o non verra addirittura riconosciuta.
Gia che ci sei posta anche un lsmod; non e' che hai un altro modulo caricato che occupa la device "abusivamente", tipo schede di acquisizione, schede tv...
In alternativa prova ad usare il modulo i810_audio

in bocca al lupo per l'esame.

nel fratempo scarico ed installo gli nforce per linux,inoltre una scheda di aquisizione video esiste

mi sa che aggiornare i driver è inutile gli unici due moduli disponibili sono per quelli per l'audio e quelli per la rete,indi mi sa che il probelma è da ricercare altrove cmq credo che il problema sia dato da un cobflitto di periferiche in quanto il chip non lo vedo elencato da nessuna parte,credo che qualche atra periferica si è rubata l'irq,domani appena torno dall'esameprovo ad impostarli manualmente da bios

perchè si impara di più mettendo ordine alla confusione,non credi?ho scaricato i driver alsa,la libreria,i tool,e la libreria OSS pero durante la compilazione mi da un errore,il configure mi dice che il compilatore usato per compilare il kernel è diverso da quello usato ora

epoi alla fine installare il codec giusto per il mio chip c-media 9738a,il codec è il seguente cmaudio-041.tar.gz
Potrebbe funziona a me sembra di sì,con rmmod rimuovo quello esistente e monto quello compilato

vedo che il soundcore e' occupato da bttv. Potrebbe essere come dicevamo, cioe' un driver sta occupando la risorsa (un problema che si potrebbe presentare anche su winXP penso). Io farei cosi:
1- ricompilare il driver cmedia
2- rimuovere (rmmod) i seguenti drivers/moduli: bttv, video-buf, i2c-algo-bit, v4l2-common, btcx-risc, i2c-core, videodev
(insomma tutti i drivers che usa la scheda di acquisizione)
3- inserire il driver cmedia (modprobe)
4- pregare che esca un fottuto suono
E' importante che prima di inserire il modulo nuovo tu abbia rimosso quelli vecchi altrimenti cmedia potrebbe caricarsi ma continuerebbe a non suonare.
Se non prova ad aggiornare il driver del chip nforce come ti dicevo e dopo prova a ricompilare alsa (strano che non ci sia alsaconf) dai sorgenti.

Con l'adsl di nuovo up anche il problema ritorna,appena posso vi faccio sapere se è la scheda di aquisiszione che occupa abbusivamente le risorse dell'audio
