N.B. Al momento non sono particolarmente interessato all'acquisto di questo modello, almeno non in misura maggiore rispetto ad altri modelli, quindi non ponetemi domande alle quali non risponderò, ma chiedete qui sul forum.

Chi se la sentisse può scrivere in prima pagina un post aggiornabile con domande, risposte ecc e gestire questa discussione.

Non vedo l'ora che sia disponibile (speravo uscisse prima o poi). Se si tratta di un U2414 formato 16:10 e se il prezzo sarà in linea col "fratello minore", sicuramente lo comprerò.

Ottimo aver aperto il td Adric, è un monitor sicuramente interessante, soprattutto per chi con il pc ci lavora anche.

Per il momento si vende solo in Cina ad un equivalente di 400 Euro circa.
Conviene aspettare metà gennaio, che si abbasserà anche il prezzo.

Nella sezione "Utenti privati e abitazioni" del sito di Dell Italia il prezzo risulta infatti "401,38 € IVA inclusa, trasporto escluso".

1. Have you noticed any backlight bleed?
2. How bad is the IPS glow?
3. What's the coating type - is it matte or more like semi-glossy? Do you see any sparkling on white, grey colors etc (when looking at white color up close and moving your head)?
4. Does it seem OK to you speedwise, I mean in games, movies etc
5. Do you feel there is any input lag?
6. Do you have any eyestrain or anything unusual after switching to these Dells?
7. What's the lowest brightness on these? Do you think it would be OK for a dark room?
8. How is it colorwise, everything OK, no color tint?
What's your general impression?

1. There's no noticeable backlight bleed on either of my monitors.
2. The IPS glow is not that noticeable when viewing the monitor straight on, but becomes more noticeable when viewing from the side. However, unless you are looking at a pitch black, or nearly pitch black image (such as movie credits), you probably won't notice or find it bothersome.
3. The panel has a light matte coating. I haven't noticed any sparkling on whites or grays. For reference, I did notice sparking on white and grays on my previous monitor, the Samsung 215TW, an S-PVA panel with a matte coating.
4. The speed seems fine. There is no noticeable motion blur.
5. I haven't noticed any input lag, For reference, I was sensitive to a minor amount of input lag on the Samsung 215TW.
6. No eyestrain or headaches after spending most of the day using them for work, games, and watching videos.
7. The default brightness was set to 75, which was a little too high for me. I changed it to 50 based on my room conditions (and I'm considering dropping it even lower). It will be fine in a dark (pitch black) room if you set the brightness to 20 or less.
8. Colors are great right out of the box - no color tint, which I would have noticed as I do a lot of work in Photoshop and other creative software.

I will admit that I was a little hesitant to pick these up because of the lack of reviews and the problems that can come with new technology products. However, after spending a day using them I'm glad I bit while they were on sale. I should also mention that the build quality of these has exceeded my expectations - the use of high quality metals and plastics help contribute to the overall premium look and feel of the monitor.

Ne deduco che non è male come monitor per un uso semi-professionale, forse il prezzo un pò altino, voi cosa ne pensate?

Quasi generale perchè avendo un ar di 16:10 ovviamente non è adatto per collegarci console o vederci alcuni DVD.
Ma per il resto, dai giochi, ai vari tipi di grafica ad applicazioni di tipo office e programmazione va più che bene, riposante in quanto sia flicker-free sia con un ampio margine di regolazione della luminosità, può essere usato anche al buio.
Per ora il prezzo è alto (400 Euro) ma a febbraio-marzo dovrebbe abbassarsi.
Già se scendesse intorno ai 350 Euro, a parità di prezzo Dell ha un assistenza in Italia che Asus o Eizo non hanno.

domanda: pensi che affiancandolo ad un Dell U2410 con un colorimetro potrei avere un certa corrispondenza cromatica o in ogni caso i colori saranno differenti?

Non faccio alcun tipo di grafica e non ho mai usato colorimetri, dipende dallo spazio colore utilizzato (che sono vari, è un argomento vasto e complesso), sorry.
Un conto poi è la fedeltà cromatica per le fotografie, un altro se si desidera una corrispondenza con quello che si andrà a stampare.
