Hp Palm Pre 3

Ho letto in giro che questo cellulare si troverà tra un pò ad un prezzo stracciato (75 $), così pensavo di sostituire il mio glorioso Nokia 5800 (sempre se riesco ad accaparrarmene uno... Dalle caratteristiche tecniche la differenza con il 5800 è abissale ).
Vorrei qualche informazioe soprattutto sul sistema operativo e sulle applicazioni presenti o acquistabili (anche perchè ovviamente HP non garantirà più supporto allo stesso). La mia priorità sarebbero software per leggere file in Word e Pdf e se possibile un navigatore (con il 5800 mi sono abnituato bene ). Qualcuno che ha magari il Pre 2 può illuminarmi?
L'unico vedo difetto che leggo in giro sembra essere la durata della batteria (almeno nel 2), ma se arriva a fine giornata e devo caricarlo ogni sera per me va più che bene...
Il mio piano di battaglia è quello di prenderlo sul sito HP Usa appena disponibile e farlo arrivare qui tramite consegnato.com... Che ve ne pare?

Rettifica: a quanto pare (vedi quì) il Pre 3 non uscirà più negli USA... Dovrò rivedere la mia strategia...

Si, lo so... Ho già individuato qualche shop che potrebbe fare al caso mio... Ma sinceramente dubito riuscirò a prenderlo, visto la quantità di gente in attesa spasmodica dell'uscita...

Cmq non c'è nessuno che abbia mai usato WebOS? Sono presenti navigatore e software citati nel primo post? Non riesco a trovare nulla di specifico googleando...

Per il Pre 3 è un casino, perchè il prodotto...è destinato solo per pochi paesi europei, nemmeno USA. Quindi si presuppone che non ne abbiano prodotti così molti in realtà.

Per il touchpad è diverso..l'hanno sovvrastimato e ne hanno prodotti veramente tanti, quindi è più "facile" trovare il prezzo ribassato se non a 99 dollari o comunque ad un prezzo sembra conveniente.

Il mio è in viaggio...e farà compagnia al Motorola Xoom Wifi.

- Only one Pre3 per customer
- Standard Published Price ( No Price Reduction / Special Price was issued by HP )


If you missed our call or we did not yet get to you in sequence you will NOT lose your place in the priority list - we will call you back over the next several days or failing that we will email you to obtain your decision.

It is clear that many people are accepting their orders under these new conditions - which means we do not expect to be able to satisfy the full order backlog with our limited supply. When we have consumed all available inventory we will then notify the remaining customers of the fact that we have had to cancel their order.
We hope and trust that this approach is seen to be fair and reasonable.

Please can we ask you to be patient and await contact by us. Please do not ring or email us as this will only further delay the process. Timing of contact will not in any way affect the status of your order.

Update Mon 29th 12:30pm :
We have begun to dispatch those orders for which we have a confirmation of acceptance of the specific conditions applying to orders. We have also begun the formal cancellation of orders for those who requested that we cancel. Both these activities will continue over the next several days so anyone whom we have contacted and who has responded will see a notification email as their order is shipped or cancelled on our systems.

For those order holders whom we have not contacted directly to seek an acceptance/cancellation this means that your order is now extremely unlikely to be fulfilled ( even if you have contacted us to say that you are willing to accept). People higher up the queue ( which is in strict order receipt sequence ) have been allocated all of the available stock. We will begin to cancel these orders - working from the most recent and working backwards.

Per quello che ho letto in giro le scorte di Pre 3 sono così poche che non bastano nemmeno per coprire tutti i pre-order fatti... Come si legge anche del post precedente non si accettano più ordini e la situazione non cambierà...
Penso che ci si possa mettere una pietra sopra ormai...

Update Wed 31st Aug 15:00 :
From the contacts we initiated since last Friday ;
- We have cancelled and refunded all orders where we received notification to cancel.
- We have shipped all orders for those people we had contacted and who accepted the order for a single unit at the standard/agreed price.
- We are still awaiting response from some of the people we contacted
We are now going to set a deadline of midday (BST) on Thursday 1st Sep. A final reminder email has gone out to these people. We will have no option but to cancel those orders after that point if we have not heard back from them.

On Thursday afternoon we will do a final re-allocation of the remaining units. We expect this to be a quite small number. And on Friday we expect to have shipped all the orders that we can fulfill. At that point we will have no option but to cancel all remaining orders in backlog.

Nuovo Update:

Update Thurs 1st Sep 20:30 :
We have completed the process of contacting and allocating all the available inventory to the order backlog we had received. The final shipments will leave our facility tomorrow - Friday 2nd Sept.
This leaves us with no option but to cancel all remaining orders that we are unable to fulfill due to the pull-back of inventory that occurred right across the channels last week. All credit-card pre-authorisations will be voided as part of the cancellation process and cancellation notice emails will be going out on Friday for these orders

Credo che ormai sia certo che non è più possibile ottenere il Pre 3... Ne avevano a disposizione davvero pochi...

Si esatto! Tanto che negli USA nemmeno avevano intenzione di lanciarlo. Ne hanno prodotti pochissimi. Giusto il touchpad avevano prodotto in buone quantità.
