buonasera a tutti,sono nuovo del forum e voglio quindi fare i saluti a tutta la community e i dovuti complimenti per le tematiche che affrontate con una professionalità di riferimento,

veniamo al mio problema:
il pc ogni tanto va in crash (lo fa da quando l' ho acquistato ma mi fido piu di voi che del venditore),disattivando il riavvio mi esce questa schermata blu dove cè scritto

allego tre foto della schermata,premetto che il pc non è in rete e vi è installato poca robe perchè lo usa papà per "farsi le dita",con Sandra non ho rilevato nessun problema,questo problema si verifica anche dopo aver rifatto il formattone,mi potete aiutare per favore?
il pc deve essere un celeron 2.93ghz

Assuming that your Operating System is Windws XP, first of all, do you have SP2 installed?

HI valerio,
I have xp s.o. whit s.p2 (but i think the sp1 is better than sp2)
i think the problem is
the Ram
or an probably overclock of cpu by seller
or bios too old
or both,,,,
I have just re-installed the s.o. and the driver but the problem persist

U can't see the problem in the Alert message?

This file is the IDE channels driver, and was causing problems before SP2. In fact, SP2 should have fixed at least some of the problem.

You are correct, the RAM sometime can generate this error.

All the Virtual drives and Optical drives connected to the IDE channels can cause these errors.

Check you Hard drive for errors.

Check the IDE cables.

In the BIOS, try to disable UDMA.

When the error occurs, try to read the Event Viewer for some error Code.

Check for conflicting software.

As a last resort, you could try to flash the BIOS.

-the Windows xp sp2 have original license but can i try the sp1 relase
-i hope the RAM is not the problem becouse is new...
- i will check the IDE cable,i have buoght from Ebay seller and the case have got a long travel,may be this the problem,i hope al least
-i have't check conflicting software and drive errors but i don't think is the problem becouse the PC is almost "empty.".

if i have to flsh the bios i first to buy another machine

You could also install a new Hard drive, install the Operating System, and then remove the optical drives from Device Manager. After you shut down the system, disconnect the optical drives and rebbot.

The IDE controller on the motherboard could be defective

Make sure that all the internal connections are OK.

In fact, I have seen a case in which the Graphics card was loose and giving the exact atapi.sys error!

Exclude the graphics card as a problem because I have tried to replace it, try your advice and follow the operations that I have said (when I have time this weekend)
