Appena ho un po' di tempo voglio mandare un'email a EA per chiedere lumi in proposito.

Ma già ho pensato che se mi dicono che non si può, gli farò presente che acquisto C&C dalla prima versione uscita perchè ho sempre ritenuto che fosse un gran gioco e perchè era bellissimo giocarci online: se d'ora in poi diventa impossibile per chi ha un router, saprò regolarmi di coseguenza...

Anche perchè, detto tra noi, le missioni di un Tiberian Sun o di un Red Alert hanno ben poco a che spartire con la decina scarsa di mezze farse di missione di Generals o tanto meno di Zero Hours...

Comunque sì, è vergognoso: non esistono giochi online con tutte queste pippe con i router...

ti assicuro che non riusciremmo a giocare.. Scatterebbe in primis senza contare che ci sarebbero molti problemi prima di lanciare la partita vera.. 2vs2 è anche troppo

First, try renaming the Options.ini file in both the Command and Conquer Generals Zero Hour Data and Generals Data folder. This is located in the My Documents folder and is accessible from the desktop or the Start menu. Rename this file to "optionsold.ini". This will force Generals Zero Hour and Generals to redetect your internet settings and may allow you to connect.

If you have a firewall or router, you will need to open up the following ports. The game will need to talk to external servers that use the following port numbers. These ports need to be open in your firewall in order to play on Generals Online. Consult the documentation that came with your firewall for information on how to do this.

C&C Generals Firewall/NAT Port Number Info:

TCP ports:
80, 6667, 28910, 29900, 29920

UDP ports:
4321, 27900

If your firewall does not allow outgoing packets to open ports to incoming traffic, or you experience problems connecting to other players, you will have to specify which port you want Command & Conquer Generals to use for communicating with other players. To do this, perform the following steps.

Go to your “My Documents” directory, and go to the “Command and Conquer Generals Data” directory. Right click on the Options.ini file and choose "Edit."

Look for the "FirewallPortOverride" entry. If you don’t see this entry, add it as a new line. Then assign the port you want to use to the port override entry. After making this change, this entry should look like:

FirewallPortOverride = XXXX

Where XXXX is the port number you have chosen. You will need to open the chosen port in your firewall for communication with players external to your firewall or NAT device. If you use the port override feature, the port you have chosen can not be masqueraded by a NAT device.

In addition, C&C Generals Internet Play is hosted by Game Spy. Here are the required Game Spy ports that need to be open in order to connect to other players via the Game Spy Online Service.

If you are behind a firewall/proxy and are able to change its settings, Game Spy Arcade needs the following TCP ports open in order to function:

Eh, a chi lo dici.
Tra l'altro non so una cosa: le porte UDP sono solo alcune porte particolari TCP? Perchè io posso fare il redirect solo delle porte TCP...

In caso,mi potete consigliare qualche altro gioco che posso anche solo minimamente somigliare questo capolavoro?

Perche dal primo C&C li ho giocati tutti ma ancora non ho trovato un degno sostituto..

la verità è che almeno dal mio punto di vista è che non esistono attualmente giochi in grado di competere con C&C Generals e Zero hour poi..

bah puoi provare ground control II, cmq se lo consideri un capolavoro, perchè cambiare?
