My impressions after 1 match (Lost 3-0 as Barca against Bayern).

Keywords:

-Free kicks: A LOT of free kicks. Total of 18 free kicks in the match. 10 for me, 8 for Bayern. That's one every 5 minutes on average... That is way too many although most of them were correct decisions. As close as you can get to a gamebreaker, tbh. Hopefully it was a coincidence. Got a penalty kick which was clearly a clean tackle from demichelis.
-Passing: I don't understand the fuzz about getting used to the passing. To me it felt intuitive and very natural and my passing play felt good right from the kick-off (created a good chance straight from kick-off). BRILLIANT!
-Penalty: Blasted the penalty into row Z when just pointing towards the top corner and shooting like old PES's. Maybe still the broken system from last year?
-Responsiveness: Issues are a thing of the past! Very quick and responsive in every area of gameplay. Even keepers throw and kick the ball out faster.

Overall cautiously optimistic about the game

Firstly the game looks and plays a lot better than it does on the vids.

I have played about 8 games on top player and scored just 4 goals and conceded 7. This game is difficult, not helped by the keepers saving shots that you think are destined for the net. I have seen 1 mistake in 8 games when the keeper helped the ball towards the goal instead of pushing it wide but it hit the post and I cleared it off the line.

The CPU AI is really good they try to make you play to your teams weakness for example I was Barcelona and the AI stopped me going out wide by doubling up on Messi and Pedro. The freedom you have now is beyond anything in PES before and maybe in FIFA. The animations are fluid and response times are perfect.

If you see a pass you can attempt it but it may not come off as you need to get the power and the aim near perfect depending on the player you have.

The best bits of the game are the shooting animations which look superb and the speed is just perfect. Also the dribbling and physical play really stands out now. I did a 30 yard shoulder barge contest between Lahm and Pedro and it was even all the way seeing as they are the same size.

The only negatives so far are the graphics look slightly grainy but they always get downgraded to keep DL size small and they are still a few weird looking animations.

Well just finished playing my first match after a painstakingly long download. I was barca v bayern on professional and i won 2-0. Scissor kick from ibra and a nice slotted finish by iniesta.

After only one game i know this is the best pes next gen without a doubt. Love the passing it actually feels like its "you" doing it and not completley AI assisted, you can put it where you want which feels great. The frustrations of last year with rubbish through balls seem to be a thing of the past.

Defending sure takes some getting used to, i keep steaming in with R1 and getting no where. Seems to work rather nicely though.

Some people will be glad to here tricks arent all that simple to pull off, you need to be precise with the stick. If ive got one gripe its the graphics. A little grainy but adam has said on twitter they downgrade them to keep DL SIZE low. So expecting big improvements there. Will post some more once i get a few more games under my belt. Back to it

Very impressed so far, ultra-realistic but still great fun to play, won a few games on professional but lost 5-1 on Top Player.

Shooting is hard to get right, but when you do its very satisfying.

A few niggles though, keepers are hit and miss, referee's still make bad decisions and there was an auto-tackle in one of my games, it won the ball but was almost a penalty.

Pre-order well and truly placed though, a whole month away though!

been reading many "knee-jerk" impressions of the demo from various places, and I'd say around 90% are positive. Most are from seriously jaded PES fans who are pleasantly surprised. I think thats a nice turn around considering the doom and gloom some expected, even in the face of overwhelming evidence. Compared to PES2010 demo reactions, its a huge, huge improvement.

his game is incredible, two proper "WOAH!" moments in my first game, just little touches and animations that I wasn't expecting. Found it fairly easy on Professional but Top Player is a different proposition altogether. I'll upload a full game shortly although it might be a bit painful to watch. Still enjoyed playing it though.

Noticed a couple of dodgy ball moments, but no button lag at all. Keepers have generally been good too but I'm only three games in. So so impressed though, I'll be playing this all day and night.
