Ciao ragazzi da un po' di tempo sto cercando di migrare verso Linux e formattare Winzozz.
Io faccio il web designer, e il grosso problema è il software, come un po' per tutti.
Ho bisogno di:
- Adobe Photoshop
- Macromedia Dreamweaver.
Voi direte c'é Crossover 4.1.....io l'ho provato e sincermente non è che va male, ma lo trovo un po lento, se per esempio faccio una decina di volte "save for web" all'undicesima prima di aprire la finestra ci mette una ventina di secondi come se si riempisse una "cache".
Vengo al punto, sono passato a Gimp che ho scoperto è veramente un bel programma, le mie domande sono:
E' possibile cambiare lingua a Gimp senza reinstallarlo, metterlo dall'italiano all'inglese? (ho sempre usato Photoshop in Inglese e conosco solo in comandi in inglese... :stordita: :stordita: )
Qualcuno ha una tabella di paragone tra Photoshop e Gimp?Per sapere dove sono i rispettivi comandi sia nell'uno che nell'altro programma (sempre in inglese magari :D :D )
Avrei bisogno di un programma d'impaginazione web, che gestisca bene, le tabelle nidificate, i CSS e che faccia le prove subito on-line, uso asp e vorrei usare ISS dell'host...non avendolo su linux.
Ogni risposta che ottengo per queste 3 domande è un passo verso l'allargamento della partizione linux e lo scomparire di Winzozz, vi prego aiutatemi..... :cry: :cry: :cry:

Vi voglio ricordare che da parecchio tempo c'è una petizione in corso per obbligare l'adobe e la macromedia a fare una versione dei loro programmi per linux, io per primo non credo nelle petizioni, ma se vedeno che in parecchi firmano magari la possono vedere sotto un lato "economico".

E' possibile cambiare lingua a Gimp senza reinstallarlo, metterlo dall'italiano all'inglese?
Ho cercato un po' su google, ho trovato questo

ma funziona solo da terminal, ho provato a modificare l'icona di avvio di GImp mettendoci il comando e, ovviamente, non funziona perché non trova il software LANGUAGE... come posso creare un icona di avvio di GImp con il comando citato per avviarlo sempre in inglese.... :muro: :muro: :muro:

Io non lo so. Però lessi tempo fa su un articolo di linux pratico che un buon programma per fare pag internet era bluefish. Mai provato nè scaricato, se ti va puoi provarlo, ma non garantisco risultati :D

Sono andato sul sito e ho visto che è perfetto!!! Gestisce gli oggetti alla Dreamweaver con la nidificazione sulla barra in basso, il css editor è sempre alla dreamweaver e anche il publish settings per testarlo in rete...non vedo l'ora di provarlo.....

Stavo provando ad installare NVU, ma nei repository standard non c'é, almeno io non l'ho visto :eek: :eek: :eek: .
Ho scaricato il tarball ed ho provato a compilarlo e mi da questo errore:

Anche io confermo NVU, e ti consiglio di provare (se vuoi qualcosa di più... "manuale") anche Bluefish e VIM (quest'ultimo è il mio preferito, ci faccio di tutto ;)), oltre che EMACS.
Per il problema con Gtk: il pacchetti che ti serve dovrebbe essere "libgtk2.0-dev".
Per quanto riguarda The GIMP: fidati, è meglio in italiano, si impara subito! ;)
Se, però, vuoi proprio usarlo in inglese e non riesci a farlo da una icona di avvio, creati un piccolo script e piazzalo in /usr/bin, chiamandolo, ad esempio, "gimp-eng":
#!/bin/sh
LANGUAGE=C gimp $*
E poi modificati l'icona d'avvio perché usi quello script (come nome del programma usa "gimp-eng" o quello che decidi tu di usare).
Prova bluefish, io lo uso con soddisfazione... :)
Anche Quanta è buonissimo come programma per sviluppare se si usa html e php.

Per il problema con Gtk: il pacchetti che ti serve dovrebbe essere "libgtk2.0-dev".
Ho controllato libgtk2.0-dev e risulta installato, l'ho anche reinstallato, per sicurezza, ma continua a darmi lo stesso errore.
Ho installato il Bluefish, farò un contronto con NVU (appenna lo installa :muro: :muro: :muro: ) e vedrò quale mi è più comodo.
Lo script per Gimp è perfetto, ora posso aviarlo anche in inglese, e vedrò con quale mi trovo meglio, ma penso l'inglese, dopo anni di photoshop in inglese non mi viene di pensare a "ritaglia", la prima cosa che mi viene in mente è "crop".

È davvero strano che Gtk non venga riconosciuto. Leggiti che cosa è andato storto durante il "./configure" leggendoti il file "config.log", verso la fine. In ogni caso, NVU puoi anche scaricartelo precompilato, se da sorgenti crea difficoltà.
Puoi anche provare Bluefish e Quanta, come ti hanno già consigliato, che sono due ottimi programmi (ma NVU permette di progettare graficamente le proprie pagine, con questi due invece fai tutto a mano...).

Non basta avere il pacchetto binario libc6. Se vuoi compilare qualcosa che usa quella libreria devi anche avere tutti i file header per lo sviluppo che di solito si trovano in un pacchetto separato. Prova a controllare se libc6-dev è installlato.
Mi daresti gli indirizzi da aggiungere al sources.list per debian sid.

Ho anche libc6-dev installato, avevo già scoperto qualche tempo fa che per compilare qualche cosa ci vole sempre il pacchetto -dev, mi ero solo dimenticato di scrivertelo.

Prova a compilare il pacchetto da sorgenti.
Leggendo l'errore del configure sembra che ti manchi il seguente pacchetto:

Ma perché a me funzionava bene NVU? Hai provato a cercare i binari in .tar.gz su MozillaItalia? Mi sembra di averlo scaricato da lì.

il problema però non me lo risolve, perché da per scontato che la compilazione vada a buon fine....
# NVU ha bisogno di qualche libreria extra che non vengon installate di default, per questo devi abilitare l'universo in Synaptic, ricaricare e cercare il seguente pacchetto: libstdc++2.10-glibc2.2
* Potrebbero servire altre librerie per far funzionare NVU, ho installato diversi pacchetti non ufficiali e quindi diverse librerie per far funzionare le cose. Quando ho instalalto NVU questa era l'unica libreria mancante, ma potrebbero essercene di più. Se trovate che ne servono delle altre, aggiornate questo How To, per favore.

Con NVU installato e (speriamo) le dipendenze risolte, proviamo a vedere se funziona. Esegui questo comando da un terminale: /opt/nvu-0.50/nvu
* Se non ci sono dipendenze mancanti dovrebbe partire l'editor HTML NVU, allora possiamo proseguire aggiungendoil programma al menu.
* Se non dovesse partire, prendi nota della libreria mancante, cercala in Synaptic e installala. Ripeti questo processo fino a quando NVU non parte.
# Adesso abbiamo NVU funzionante da riga di comando, aggiungiamolo al menù.

Ho decompresso il tarball ottenendo la cartella mozilla
copio il file mozilla/composer/config/mozconfig.linux dentro la cartella mozilla/.mozconfig la cartella .mozconfig non esisteva e l'ho creata io (speriamo bene...)
make -f client.mk build_all (come scritto dal sito)
Mi sono dimenticato di dire che il file mozconfig va modificato per funzionare con debian io l'ho modificato ora ve lo metto on-line magari qualcuno gli da un'occhiata.
Dopo aver fatto make -f client.mk build_all mi da lo stesso identico errore di prima che riguarda c-sdk....

e dopo un po' ho capito che il famoso file in questione mozconfig.linux non andava copiato dentro una cartella .mozconfig.
.mozconfig è un file!!! :yeah: :yeah: :yeah:
dovevo fare solo un copia e incolla del testo da un file ad un'altro con le dovute modifiche....
rimando la compilazione:
make -f client.mk build_all (sempre secondo istruzioni)
e che succede?.....Non mi da errori !!!!!! UAOOOOO!!!!!! :eek: :eek: :eek: :eek:
Finita la compilazione durata 10-15 minuti vado nella cartella /mozilla/dist/bin
do: ./nvu
Questo e l'errore che mi da:

Gli errori che gcc dà significano, in pratica, che il codice assembly tradotto usa l'istruzione jmpl quando avrebbe dovuto usare jmp.

Avendo io cancellato tutta la cartella con i files compilati, ho riscaricato il file tar.gz ho rifatto tutti i procedimenti sopraelencati, ho quinidi ricompilato nvu.
Da i soliti errori....

ho provato a riavviare il software e sta volta mi da un'errore diverso da quello che vi ho comunicato nell'ultimo post, che non sto neanche a trascrivervi.... :cry: :cry: :cry:
Che ho fatto? Preso da disperazione ho ricancellato per l'ennesima volta la cartella mozilla di NVU dal desktop e ho deciso di aspettare qualche giorno e comprarmi suse 9.3 che sarà si più pesante e avrà tutti i difetti di una distribuzione per niubbi come me, però non ho mai dovuto combattere così tanto per installare un software, quindi capitemi....ce l'ho messa tutta, ma la do vinta al computer...e chiudo qui il thread..
Grazie comunque a tutti per l'aiuto.

Aspetta a scegliere soluzioni troppo radicali. E comunque, visto che SuSE, come hai detto tu, è un po' pesantuccia, prova prima con la Debian vera e propria. Secondo me non ne resterai affatto deluso, anzi...
Ultima cosa: mica hai provato ad usare un diverso compilatore per NVU? Ad esempio, ad usare "CC=gcc-2.95 ./configure"? Forse si tratta solo di compatibilità tra compilatori.

Arieccoci qui....(The endless story) ho fatto come hai detto tu, sono andato su synaptic e ho visto che versione di gcc avevo ed ho a 3.3 ho installato la 3.4 e 4.0....
Ho rimandato in campilazione il tutto (come al solito), cambiando ovviamente compilatore, però l'ho fatto modificando il file .mozconfig che il software usa per prendere tutti i parametri prima ho provato con la 3.4 e poi la 4.0, in entrambi i casi non sono andate a buon fine, mi sono dimenticato di prendere l'errore del compilatore 3.4, questo è quello che da con il gcc 4.0:

Dimenticavo oltre al gcc ho aggionarto anche il g++ installando sia il 3.4 che il 4.0.
A questo punto una domanda mi sorge spontanea, c'è qualcuno che ha ubuntu 5.04 Hoary 64 bit con NVU installato e funzionante in questo forum???? Una risposta positiva mi risolleverebbe il morale :cry: :cry: :cry: :cry:

Dimenticavo, ho provato a compilare anche la penultima versione di NVU, ottenendo errori in compilazione......con i vari gcc diversi.... :muro: :muro: :muro: :muro:
gcc4 è experimental :)
se modifichi la variabile del compilatore accertati che sia quello giusto:
gcc per i sorgenti c
g++ per sorgenti cpp
CXX = g++
