This program will help you determine which I2C/SMBus modules you need to
load to use lm_sensors most effectively. You need to have i2c and
lm_sensors installed before running this program.
Also, you need to be `root', or at least have access to the /dev/i2c-*

If you have patched your kernel and have some drivers built in, you can
safely answer NO if asked to load some modules. In this case, things may
seem a bit confusing, but they will still work.

It is generally safe and recommended to accept the default answers to all

domanda oltremodo scontata .... ma non si sa mai !
Sicuro d'aver scaricato l'ultima versione dei sensors ... controllando magari che il tuo hw sia supportato?
.... sono diventato pazzo per farli funzionare su una suse 9.1 ( con hw da manuale ...nessun pezzo relativamente nuovo .... e tutta roba standard) e mi davano il tuo stesso messaggio.
Ho risolto tutto patchando il kernel ... e scaricando l'ultima versione di lm-sensors.

Ho risolto tutto patchando il kernel ... e scaricando l'ultima versione di lm-sensors.

c'ho il kernel 2.6.10 patchato bootsplash e ho scaricato lm-sensors con apt (ho debian).
l'unico problema è che ho un portatile.

purtroppo non mi viene in mente altro !!
magari il sig google ..... facendo una ricerca " modello notebook lm-sensors" ti può essere d'aiuto

ho trovato poco e niente col mio amilo a 1630 per lm-sensors.
come faccio a sapere se il mio hardware è compatibile con lm-sensors????

si l'ho letto quello che mi hai detto, ma se vedi quando faccio sensors-detect mi da quei failed che forse sono la mia rovina.
alla fine mi dice solo di caricare due moduli (se vedi) e sono i moduli per la RAM che a me non mi frega proprio:D

fai riconoscere i sensori con: FATTO
$sensors-detect FATTO

ora dovrai caricare i moduli dei sensori della tua mobo come NON SO QUALI SONO consigliato alla fine del comando $sensors-detect, prova a caricarli e se non sono caricati sul kernel mettili come M e ricompila.
make menuconfig > Device Drivers > I2C support --->
<M> I2C support
<M> I2C device interface
e poi sia in:
I2C Hardware Bus support --->
che in:
Hardware Sensors Chip support --->

dovrai mettere a M i sensori usati dalla tua mobo, prova magari a mettere a tutti M giusto per capire poi quali funzioneranno, altirmenti devo compilare troppe volte.

il fatto è che dovrei farmi fisica 1 e c'ho l'esame il 18 e su google non c'è un'emerito kaiser sul mio notebook con lm-sensors, il mio amatissimo amilo a 1630.

in google scrivi i2c_sensors se nn erro ti manda ad una pagina in italiano dove ci sta spiegato come si usa lm-sensors e come si caricano gli i2c_sensors poi da li, vi è un altro link di un sito dove puoi vedere quali chip della mobo devi caricare, ci sono un po' di mamme ma nn so se ci stanno tutto... ti dice esattamente il tipo di chipset e l'isa bridge... io almeno trovai questo prova :D

il fatto che la prima volta che ho fatto sensors-detect mi ha rilevato due moduli soltanto che dovevo caricare ed erano i moduli per la RAM che non mi interessano per niente

In realtà su tutti i portatili che ho (ne ho solo 2 in casa) non sono riuscito a vedere la temp della CPU...
Uno è un centrino ed uno è un Smpron Mobile...
Se in Winzozz, tramite speedfan o programmi simili, non riesci a leggere la temp della CPU lascia stare!!! significa che non potrai mai!
E' probabile che il dato che cerchi sia nascosta in qualche "misterioso" indirizzo di memoria, io lascerei stare...
Ho caricato tutti i moduli acpi possibili, ma non c'è stato verso.
