Il bassista degli OBITUARY Frank Watkins, in un'intervista rilasciata recentemente al magazine Decibel, ha parlato del processo di songwriting per il nuovo studio album della band, in uscita ad inizio 2005 per una label ancora non specificata (probabilmente la Roadrunner): "Stiamo scrivendo roba nel nostro vecchio stile, sulla scia di quanto fatto su 'Slowly We Rot' o 'Cause of Death'; non faremo proprio sperimentazioni come invece era stato fatto nei nostri album più recenti. Stiamo cercando di scrivere un album che sia il più brutale possibile, il più heavy che abbiamo mai registrato".
