Ciao,
vorrei utilizzare il mouse USB su un portatile So ny Vaio PCG-FR415S con installata una debian e un kernel 2.6.4 fresco di giornata. Il mouse è attaccato alla porta USB ma la lucina manco si accende. Penso sia un problema di moduli non compilati/caricati dato che non funziona neppure la penna USB (prima, sul kernel 2.4 almeno quella riuscivo a montarla)

P.s Mouse2 prima era Corepointer, l'ho cambiata temporaneamente su suggerimento tanto per provare....

ho un vaio fr215e
ora ti dò l'xf86config per mouse e touchpad, se non basta dimmelo che ti posto pure lsmod (ora non psso, sono sul desktop)

in che senso non sia ohci_hcd?
è caricato come modulo...intendi che potrebbe dare problemi?:confused:

devi usare l'usb corretto per il tuo hardware:
se non funziona ohci prova a sostituirlo con ehci-hcd (se sono usb 2.0) e uhci-hcd (che sono quelli che uso io sul fisso, sul vaio non mi ricordo)

mi risulta che sul kernel 2.6.4 siano caricati di default i moduli per farti andare le periferiche usb.

assicurati comunque che sul kernel ci siano:
mousedev
input
hid

dal tuo lsmod vedo solo hid.

sul 2.4.22 solo caricando quei moduli il mouse fuori da xserver si accese per la prima volta.
