View Full Version : SmartGart e Altri Driver AGP

Se installo i Catalyst essi, come sapete, comprendono anche il driver per l'AGP, lo SmartGart appunto. Pertanto su una scheda madre con Chipset Via o SiS li devo mettere i driver forniti con il pacchetto VIA 4-in-1 o il con pacchetto dato da SiS?

bisogna mettere anche i driver della skeda madre.

a quanto ne so lo smartgart si occupa dell'agp solo lato sk video (controlla la possibilità di abilitare fast-writes, sideband etc) ma non è un driver per l'agp... :)

ho aperto il topic perchè ho visto sul forum di MSI, riguardo alla mia scheda madre c'è scritto:

"Some applications incorrectly detected the card as AGP2x. (refer to [1] knowing that this board only supports AGP4x and AGP8x). ATI addresses this issue here. Other tools like PowerStrip correctly shown AGP8x.

Detail discussions were taken place here. The current workaround is :

* do not install or uninstall any VIA AGP drivers, including those in VIA 4-in-1 drivers."

bhe sarà un problema legato a Via, io sulla ECS con chipset Sis colla raddy 9200 che avevo prima non avevo assolutamente problemi...

cmq che te frega che venga rivelata agp2x? fosse anche 1x, per quel che conta l'agp...

piuttosto fai dei bench o degli stress-test (aka qualke bench fatto girare a lungo :D) e vedi se ti va meglio e + stabilmente con smartgart e basta o con driver_agp_Via+Smartgart.

La scheda NON e' per me, non voglio far casini ;) tutto qui.
Io mi tengo ancora per un po' la mia amata ti4200 e quando servira' le tirero' il collo a ti4600 :D :)
