mi spiegate perchè nonstante uno abbia anche un giga di ram il sistema operativo, win xp per es, deve sempre avere uno spazio sull'hd e quindi alcune operazioni sono inevitabilmente rallentate

:confused: :confused: :confused: beh l'hard disk rappresenta la memoria fissa e definitiva la ram e la memoria cosiddeta volatile e sulla quale transitano i dato prima di essere trasferiti in modo definitivo sull'hard disk, questa e' una spiegazione che ti potrebbe servire ma se puoi essere piu' chiaro ti potrei rispondere in maniera piu' completa

If you have 1024 MB (1 GB) of RAM installed you can turn OFF the swap file because you do NOT really need it, though some software and/or games may fail. Also, XP can address up to 4 GB of memory so you might as well use it. Also, you might want to increase your Performance by locking the Kernel in the RAM. Open REGEDIT and locate the key: "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\ SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\Memory Management", Highlight DisablePagingExecutive in the right pane. Then go to Edit / Modify and enter the VALUE 1. Click OK, close Regedit, and reboot.

in effetti non hai tutti i torti!

...disabilita lo swap da disco ma non toccare il registro....piuttosto vai su pannello di controllo > sistema > Prestazioni > Avanzate memoria virtuale > e imposta la dimensione su disco pari a zero mettendo nessun file di pagining .....se hai un giga di ram non ci sono problemi....
vedi però di non aprire solitario mentre sta masterizzando a 24X, acquisendo da videocamera, elaborando un grosso file video e mille altre operazioni pesanti ... altrimenti comincerai a vederle di tutti i colori....
