Il mio Hardisk funziona o stà morendo

allora mi spiego subito ho un HD funzionante che non perde dati non fà stramberie ne scandisk fuori norma e non trovo cluster bruciati o simili , insomma tutto mi dice che è a posto.....anche le velocità in lettura scrittura sono ok

ma ho istallato il programma per controllare la velocità delle ventole speedfan di Milani che mi dice se faccio il suo test S.M.A.R.T. che è quasi morto .....

insomma me lo dà morente o morto che cammina , ho provato altri software per vedere se contraddicevano o confermavano il fatto ottenedo per lo piu risposte buone sul suo stato altre volte mi hanno detto che non erano in grado di leggere lo SMART e di attivarlo .....

la mia domanda è avete un suggerimento su un software davvero buono da provare l'integrità o meno dell'hd? o semmai è attendibile speedfan ?:rolleyes:

Speedfan per mostrarti Normal Very Good etc. attinge ad un database dove si trovano i valori medi che un hard disk uguale al tuo dovrebbe avere. Tali valori risultano quindi parzialmente attendibili: dico parzialmente perchè basta anche un solo valore fuoriposto (tipo un power on hors count) per dirti che il disco è messo male. Prova a scaricare HDTune, fagli il test della velocità e della superficie e guarda nei valori SMART(info) se ti segnala qualcosa in giallo o in rosso. In ogni caso per quanto ne so io non esiste un programma attendibile al 100%, ti danno un'idea su come è messo il disco, ma null'altro.
Ricordati anche che se il disco è messo veramente male ti viene segnalato dal BIOS (es.HDD 3 Status is Bad. Backup and Replace. Press F1 to continue). Controlla quindi anche di avere il monitoraggio SMART attivato nel BIOS della tua scheda madre (di solito si vede premendo invio sul nome del disco).

In conclusione ti consiglio di salvare in ogni caso le cose più importanti, ma di stare tranquillo: ho visto un vecchio Maxtor D740X con 3 valori SMART fuori norma che tuttora funziona alla perfezione... e io stesso sono andato avanti per circa 2 anni con un 6E030L0 con oltre 50000 ore, tagliato da 30 a 25gb e con 3/4 dei valori fuori norma

grazie della risposta , ho provato HD TUNE come da te suggerito , in error scan tutto verde , come d'altronde mi aspettavo visto che neanche un anno fà quando misi a posto il pc feci una formattazione a basso livello su questo hd , sulla velocità il grafico è molto simile a quello di riferimento sul sito della stesso HD TUNE, per i valori SMART mi dà un solo valore in giallo "Reallocated sector count" ma in fondo mi riporta "Healt status OK"

Questo dipende dall'hard disk, il Maxtor che hai (DiamondMax9 Plus) conta i minuti, e non le ore. E comunque a breve dovrebbe riazzerarsi il contatore, è un errore presente in molti hard disk di questo modello.

EDIT: il mio consiglio è di effettuare uno scandisk approfondito.

ha 1720 settori danneggiati e non sono pochi..salva tutto e fai un test con seatoole,che lo trovi nel sito della seagate o con powermax che lo trovi sempre li.se darà errore,come sono quasi certo che ti darà allora è rotto o poco ci manca,anche perchè i settori opratutto se salgono indicano che ormai i piatti sono rovinati...e a momenti potrebbe iniziare a perdere dati
edit:come test fai un advanced read scan e un burn in,non fare format a low level se prima non hai salvato tutto

vecchiaia,urti,difetti,ecc...calore,sopratutto i maxtor sono delicatissimi in quanto a calore anche perchè scaldano molto,e superano comodamente i 50° se il case è chiuso...

calore non credo ho un chifteck ottimamente areato 2 ventola davanti gli hd altre due sul retro ora il maxtor è a 22°c mentre d'estate non supera i 35°

i test che mi consigliate sono tutti distruttivi sui dati?

a parte il low level format che ho già fatto l'anno scorso ad HD vuoto che sò essere distruttivo è comunque da fare coi dati salvati?

ps: ho un cd Hiren's boot cd 8.6 se i tool che mi consigliate sono lì inclusi li ho fatti tutti tempo fà ed era a posto

quei test in teoria non sono distruttivi,ma tu salva le cse importatni che è meglio.
si,dovrebbe essere nel cd di hiren.
