[Ubuntu] Dipendenze codec e VLC

Ho cercato di installare i vari codec per i file mp3, avi e compagnia ma non ci sono riuscito ed ho ottenuto il seguente risultato:
gstreamer0.10-plugins-ugly:
Depends: libid3tag0 (>=0.15.1b) but it is not installable
Depends: libmad0 (>=0.15.1b) but it is not installable

Dopo di che ho provato ad installare anche VLC ma questo è il risultato:
Depends: vlc-nox but it is not going to be installed
Depends: libsdl-image1.2 (>=1.2.5) but it is not installable
Depends: ttf-dejavu but it is not installable
Cosa sbaglio? Cosa mi consigliate di fare?

se hai la 7.04 o 7.10 alla prima riproduzione di un formato proprietario ti chiede se vuoi scaricare i codec :)

Infatti ho provato a fare cosi e mi consiglia di utilizzare Synaptic ma il problema continua.:confused:

Potrebbe essere un problema di repository, magari al momento hanno qualche problema i pacchetti inseriti, oppure ne hai di ridondanti nel tuo sources.list.

Nell'ultima ipotesi, potrebbe essere utile se facessi vedere il contenuto della tua sources.list:

dai da terminale
gedit /etc/sources.list

copi il contenuto mostrato e lo incolli qui.

P.S. Hai ubuntu? Se si, che versione?

Potrebbe essere un problema di repository, magari al momento hanno qualche problema i pacchetti inseriti, oppure ne hai di ridondanti nel tuo sources.list.

Nell'ultima ipotesi, potrebbe essere utile se facessi vedere il contenuto della tua sources.list:

dai da terminale
gedit /etc/sources.list

copi il contenuto mostrato e lo incolli qui.

Scusa se sono ottuso ma che significa "renditi comunque conto di cosa significhi avere software proprietario e agisci secondo coscienza"

Significa che "non è etico" nella filosofia del software libero.

Praticamente dovresti usare solo software open source per fare quello che ti serve.

Ad esempio, invece degli mp3 dovresti usare ogg (che manco a dirlo è anche meglio), invece di Acrobat Reader, dovresti usare uno dei tantissimi visualizzatori disponibili, invece di FlashPlayer dovresti usare Gnash (stessa cosa, compatibile con flash e open) e via dicendo...

Il tutto detto molto, ma proprio molto, superficialmente! :)

Dopodiché aggiungi questi repository:

Hai dato il primo comando? Quello con wget che scarica appunto il file con la chiave pubblica.
