Composite e RenderAccel su nvidia geffo4mx440 (nv18) grrrrr!!! devo farlo funzionare!

Stavo spippolando un po e disgraziatamente girando per i pannellini di kde mi riotorna in mente le opzioni di trasparenza/ombre messe a disposizione da xorg.

Anche tempo fa ho avuto problemi..ma questa volta sono deciso a farlo a tutti i costi! :mc:

Ho una geforce 4 mx 440 agp 8x (nv18) con drivers nvidia closed.
Ho provato ad abilitare il composite ma ho scoperto che se abilito l'opzione "RenderAccel="true"" mi freeza tutto appena smuovo qualcosa (che sò..kxdocker)....anche se non attivo le estensioni "Composite"!

Se disabilito RenderAccel sono in grado di attivare correttamente composite..ma con una lentezza sovraumana.

A questo punto vi chiedo..cosa posso fare? Qualcuno di voi ce l'ha fatta? Che versione di xorg ha? che versione di drivers nvidia ha? che scheda ha?

Io ho xorg di debian unstable (6.8.2.dfsg.1-7)...questo è il mio xorg.conf:

nella guida nvidia dice che è un opzione sperimentale..

purtroppo non ho provato i driver nvidia.. per ora non ho lo sbattimento di mettermi nei guai.. :D

già...sò che è un opzione sperimentale...ma avrei tanto voluto vederla in funzione! :)

Qualche pazzo dice che funziona..molti altri dicono di no...e sul sito di nvidia dicono che è un problema noto e che verrà risolto con la realase 1.8xxx dei drivers..speriamo escano presto :(

io so solo che può dare dei problemi se abilitata...
non ho provato con la mia geforce2 , ma sinceramente non ci tengo e non ho tempo.. :(

già...ma in quel modo si disabilita l'accellerazione hardware..credo sia un po come rimuvere l'opzione renderaccel=true...cmq ora provo..nn si sa mai..magari disabilita l'opengl ma esegue il renderig corretto in di xserver in hardware :D
