Una scheda video con display da Sparkle
Sparkle propone una nuova scheda video di fascia medio alta, basata su GPU NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT e caratterizzata da alcune soluzioni tecniche ben differenti dalla reference board NVIDIA. Il sistema di raffreddamento occupa due Slot sulla scheda madre, inglobando un massiccio radiatore sormontato da due ventole di raffreddamento.
Nella parte superiore del PCB troviamo un display, Graphics Display Port (GDP), che riporta in tempo reale temperatura della GPU, voltaggio di alimentazione del chip video e velocità di rotazione della ventola.
Le frequenze di funzionamento di questa soluzione sono superiori a quelle indicate dalle specifiche tecniche di NVIDIA: troviamo infatti clock della GPU di 675 MHz, con memoria GDDR3 a 2 GHz e stream processors che operano a 1.728 MHz di clock. Le specifiche NVIDIA per schede di questo tipo prevedono clock della GPU di 600 MHz, memoria a 1.800 MHz e stream processors a 1.500 MHz.
