NVIDIA rende disponibile un nuovo set di driver certificati compatibili con sistemi operativo Windows 7, Windows Vista e soprattutto Windows 8 prossimo al debutto

NVIDIA ha aggiornato i propri driver GeForce per schede video desktop, dalla serie GeForce 6 sino alle più recenti proposte della famiglia GeForce 600. I driver, release 306.97, sono compatibili con sistemi operativi Windows 7, Windows Vista e Windows 8. In particolare NVIDIA indica questa versione come quella consigliata al debutto del sistema operativo Windows 8.

I driver sono disponibili per il donwload, in versioni per codice a 32bit e a 64bit, a questo indirizzo. Di seguito le note fornite a corredo:

This is the recommended driver for the launch of Windows 8. It is Microsoft WHQL-certified and will also be available for download via Windows Update.

No, semplicemente perchè i confronti sono sempre stati fatti con la precedente versione WHQL, non con le beta intermedie.

Perché i 306.23 appartengono alla stessa famiglia di drivers dei 306.97 (R304) mentre i 301.42 alla precedente (R300)

Allora attacchiamoci sugli specchi, prima non si fanno confronto sui beta,
adesso sulla famiglia. E cmq uno specchietto per le allodole. sembra che ogni rilascio
la scheda video avanzi di prestazioni di 2 cifre percentuali. Cosa serve rimettere le stesse note
di rilascio del drivers precedente se sono uguali (o quasi)??? Mah...
Bisognerà valutare il differenziale tra il whql precedente e quello successivo.

Scusami Gabro_82, io non sono andato a vedere quale fosse l'ultima release WHQL dei driver, ma tu per avvalorare la tua teoria avresti dovuto indicarmi un link che mostra che i 306.23, ossia i driver indicati da te, sono WHQL, e non mi pare tu l'abbia fatto.

Che il confronto sia fatto solo rispetto all'ultima versione WHQL può non piacere ma è sempre stato fatto.

In questo caso pare siano tornati ancora più indietro, non ho ben capito perchè ma comunque i driver di confronto sono chiaramente indicati.

Personalmente i 306.23 li ho eliminati a priori visto che, almeno sulla mia 580, il voltaggio in idle era pari a quello in full, con una temperatura a riposo di 53°\55° C, mentre con i 306.97 è tornato tutto normale a 35°C.

io ho installati i 306.23 sulla 550ti
in idle siamo sui 35° +/- con 41% fan speed
in load/full varia a seconda il carico sulla gpu
