"Taipei, Taiwan, 30 October - VIA Technologies, Inc., a leading innovator and developer of silicon chip technologies and PC platform solutions, today announced that Bleu Jour, a French company located near Toulouse in the South of France, has just launched its highly integrated, fully compact and very attractive barebone PC, featuring the EPIA Mini-ITX motherboard from VIA Technologies, Inc.
Thanks to its considerably reduced dimensions (17 x 17 cms), high level of integration, the VIA Mini-ITX proved to be the ideal solution to build this new genre PC at an attractive entry price point. The B1 Box allows integrators and retailers to produce a computer meeting their customers needs: government, education, businesses, and also end users who will be seduced by the magnificent design of this new generation computer which is also welcome in the lounge as a multimedia, Internet, MP3, DVD, DivX station.
The B1 case is highly attractive due to its compact size (230 x 205 x 190 mm), anodized aluminum body and the twin features of its casing: anodized and micro dotted aluminum sheath and fiberglass outer casing. From the technical point of view, multi-usage qualities and the possibility of simultaneously integrating two hard disks make this machine an ideal computer for Linux solutions.
Entirely designed and manufactured in France, the B1 case gives integrators a large amount of flexibility in supply periods and quantities. This production flexibility also gives integrators the possibility of customizing small series of products (starting from 100 units).
This launch was made in cooperation with Bacatá, a famous French reseller which will market the B1 cases. ù
"VIA is very proud to power this magnificent compact new genre B1 box" commented Richard Brown, marketing Director at VIA Technologies, Inc.
