Gigabyte GA-7ZM review
Gamer's Depot ha pubblicato la recensione della motherboard SocketA Gigabyte GA7ZM, dotata di standard Micro-ATX, 3 slot PCI, 1 AMR e 1 AGP 4X; l'articolo a questo indirizzo
Our concern is that we weren’t able to get this board up and running with our in-house Micro-ATX case, and even ended up literally blowing up the power supply our case had. We had to schlep a full-size ATX power supply (300watt) over to the board for our testing. It’s perplexing to me why they’d build a motherboard based on the Athlon platform, which we’re all aware has more stringent power requirements, when it can’t even handle Micro-ATX power supplies. An email into AMD’s PR team about a recommended Micro-ATX power supply didn’t help either. As of press time for this article the only one recommended wasn’t even a Micro-ATX. We’ll be sure to investigate this further and find out just what’s going on.
For now, we’ll issue a “buyer beware” if you are planning on running this board in a Micro-ATX case, and aren’t sure if your power supply can handle it.
