GeForce RTX 4090 Laptop vs 4090 Desktop: sono uguali? No, qualche test per fare chiarezza

BEH! LEI E' LI IN LINEA OVUNQUE E ANCHE PRONTA A STAMPRE ... INFATTI SE LANCIO UNA PROVA DI STAMPA DALLA STAMPANTE STESSA ESEGUE SENZA PROBLEMI ... MA OGNI PROCESSO DI STAMPA LANCIATO DA QUALSIASI MACCHINA LOCALE NON CAPISCO DOVE VADA A FINIRE (NON NEI PROCESSI IN CODA!!!)

aggiornamento.

http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/FT3563-BT/

Grazie!

NAS LANDISK ACCESS VIA PROXY ?

Hello,

I hope someone here understands English and can help me.
Please feel free to reply in your own language. i will use a translator to read your reply.

Please see attachment (landisk.zip) for more info....
The zip file is too large to attach here (867KB). Please download it from this link: http://www.box.net/shared/besr5uusph

In the attached images will see the landisk that i use.

The problem i have is this:

When connected via USB or Ethernet DIRECTLY to my windows xp pc, i can access the landisk web interface and use it as normal (see attached images).

My internet cafe network consist of 13 windows xp computers, all connected to d-link switches, which connects to my proxy server (linux-squid).

The proxy server is configured with a static ip address. Each network pc also has it's own static ip.

As you will see in the attached images, I have configured the landisk with a static ip which falls in the same ip range as all my other computers.

PROBLEM >>> When the landisk is connected via ethernet cable to the d-link switch (which s connected to the proxy server), I cannot connect to the IP address of the landisk.

I have used several network scanner software, such as ip scanners, port scanners, etc. In all cases the landisk IP is reported as "dead".

However: (see attached images) When I scanned the landisk IP with "Look@lan" software, it could only detect the landisk HTTP and FTP service.

The landisk HTTP service was reported as "lighttpd/1.4.13". I believe this would be the landisk OS (?)

So the main problem i have is that I cannot access the landisk via the LAN.

I have been trying for months now and have search the internet many times.

Please, if anyone here can shed some light I will greatly appreciate it.

Thank you for reading my post.

Best regards,
Jamie.

If you connect the lan disk to a pc with a cross cable (rj45...), can you "See" the lan disk?

Thank you for the response...

Yes i can. But only when it is connected DIRECTLY to the pc with RJ45 cross cable (not usb).

I can also then access the shares in the normal way through windows(xp).

The USB part also works perfectly as it should.

So in all, the enclosure works perfectly as it should. As you will see in the images here (http://www.box.net/shared/besr5uusph), i can access the http interface and configure the drive.

The problem is when it is connected via rj45 ethernet cable TO THE SWITCH, i can NOT access the http interface (via it's IP), nor can i access the shares.

The strange thing is that, with "look@lan" software, it did detect the drive's http and ftp service. (please see attached images again - http://www.box.net/shared/besr5uusph). This tells me that there is "communication" between: xp pc > switch > proxyserver > nas/landisk.

I consider myself fairly familiar with computers and windows networking (30years experience as lan admin), but this thing has got me sooooo frustrated...

Please help where you can.

Thanks again for responding to my post.

Regards,
Jamie

thank you for showing interest in my problem...

if i understand you correctly, then you want me to install "Kiwi Syslog Daemon" software onto the NAS itself (?) - and use "Kiwi Syslog Daemon" to access the server log files of the NAS.

i have downloaded "Kiwi Syslog Daemon" and will play with it as soon as i get to my office tomorrow morning.

i will give you feedback as soon as i have something to show.

thank you

jamie.

yes, i have tried another switch (2 as a matter of fact).

today i have discovered something new ! :

1. connect my winxp pc to the switch.
2. connect nas/landisk to the switch.
3. power-up everything.

4. use my xp pc - firefox - http://192.168.0.16 (landisk static ip)
WORKS! NO PROBLEMS !

5. windows explorer - map to shares (of the landisk)
WORKS! NO PROBLEMS !

so then, the ONLY other problem can be the internet PROXY SERVER (?)

i have 13 winxp pc's connecting to switches.
one of the switches connects to the proxy.
and ofcourse the proxy connects to the adsl router.

the proxy is configured with LINUX/SQUID.
i have root access to the proxy and can change it's configuration through a http(php) interface.

but the problem is that i am not familiar with linux and proxy configs, so i am not sure what to look for...

i looked through the proxy's log files and can see the entries where my xp pc tries to connect to the landisk ip.

i think it is a combination of the proxy's configuration vs. the landisk's thhtpd server software.

i don't know anymore.

maybe you can direct me to someone that is an expert with squid (?)

at this point i am merely trying to cancel out all of the possible problems, incl. hardware and software between all the machines.

i am now at the point where i am (almost) sure it is the proxy's config that does not allow me to 'see' the landisk.

maybe ports(?)
maybe firewall configs(?)

thank you for showing interest in my problem.

best regards,
jamie.

PC's IP are ok?
DHCP is disabled?
Have you tried to change Proxy server with a embedded router?

Bye!

"PC's IP are ok?" = YES
"DHCP is disabled?" = YES

"Have you tried to change Proxy server with a embedded router?" = Please explain... Do you mean > Take down the Proxy ? And then use only a router ?

I need the Proxy to have 15 PC's access the Internet + Internal Email + User Management.

Please explain what you mean by "embedded router"

BTW: I am in the process of putting together a PDF file with an even more detailed description of the problem, including all the screenshots of everything. I will post it here as soon as it's ready.

I also found a German manufacturer of this specific NAS and have e-mailed their technical team. Awaiting feedback.

I will continue to keep you guys updated on any progress I make.

Thank you for showing interest.

Regards,
Jamie.
