continua l'odissea synaptic.
ho cambiato la sources.list di default con quella trovata qui: http://www.alessandropagano.net/wiki...untuRepository (questo per non dover reinserire tutti i repositary perduti). ora reinstalla un grande numero di pacchetti. l'unico problema è che non può aggiornare da alcuni server perchè non trova le chiavi pubbliche. Salve, sono un'utente Suse e vorrei passare ad Ubuntu.
ho però un problema all'installazione ovvero inristo il cd, installo il sistema, mi chiede di togliere il cd e di riavviare. Al riavvio mi installa il sistema operativo, poi viene lo screen di gnome in cui devo inserire utente e passwd per avviare la mia sessione. Inseriti correttamente (ho fatto un sacco di prove anche tentando di entrare come root) si chiude lo screen e mi si blocca il tutto in uno screen vuoto, si muove solamente il mouse. Cliccando con i vari tasti nn succede nulla. non succede nulla neanche con la combinazione CTRL+ALT+BackSpace. Spero che qualcuno possa risolvere questo problema, è da un po' che ci sono dietro e anche on-line, nei manuali, nn ho trovato nulla. dopo aver ricompilato il kernel (si, quella famosa volta...) mi sono accorto che i i driver ati, almeno in quanto ad accelerazione, non svolgono più il loro lavoro...
ho cosi ri-seguito QUESTA guida (la utilizzai a suo tempo e funzionò alla grande). ecco cosa mi restituisce il primo comando dopo aver installato (o meglio reinstallato) i pacchetti da synaptic: Codice:
:~$ sudo modprobe fglrx FATAL: Module fglrx not found. ho anche provato a seguire i comandi per installarlo attraverso il .run del sito dell'ati (la procedura sta nella stessa pagina, solo un po più sopra) Codice:
:~$ chmod +x ati-driver-installer-8.21.7-i386.run :~$ PS: nel file /etc/modules è presente la voce fglrx ciao edit: o che sia colpa di initNG...

Uhm, spero di poter chiedere qui. Da vero niubbo un mese fa ho istallato la ubuntu sul PC in cui uso anche Windows e adesso non mi ricordo più ne nome utente ne pwd

per quanto riguarda i drivers....
ho fatto partire l'installer. quando mi apre la scheramata per la selezione della distribuzione di cui voglio il pacchetto...la schermata e gigantesca e non riesco a visualizzarla tutta, non so come andare avanti

CARVASIN fai come ho fatto io: assegni il trascinamento finestra ad un tasto che vuoi nelle opzioni da tastiera, così tenendolo premuto puoi spostare la finestra dei Driver (ma perchè diamine l'han fatta di 2 km???) e visualizzare anche il resto
