ok si sente tutto.Dopo il riavvio ,emerge di nuovo skype&realplayer ,skype da console:

evidentemente skype e realplayer non si appoggiano direttamente ad alsa per riprodurre suoni ma ad arts.

risolto pure con skype e realplayer.Ho fatto un merge skype e realplayer,scaricato dal loro sito,installato e non va... poi ho dato commando da console da root ./skype ./realplay e sono andati da dio entrambi

Raga spero almeno che con questi due problemini saprete aiutarmi:

1) Quando scarico qualche file tar.bz da firefox e clicco su apri nella finestra dei downloads file roller non mi parte e non so perchè... sinceramente non ho provato a vedere se questa cosa succede per ogni file o solo per questi.

2)Se faccio doppio click su qualche file avi mi esce questo messaggio:

Si è verificato un errore nell'avvio della applicazione.

Ma se lo carico direttamente in mplayer il file me lo legge tranquillamente
Uso mplayer-bin perchè altrimenti niente win32codecs su amd64

Mah..io ho sempre usato solo apt-get update e apt-get upgrade per fare cio' che dici tu, mentre apt-get dst-upgrade lo usata, appunto, per passare dalla stable alla testing, per esempio, mettendo prima in apt le giuste entry.
Comunque, tornando a gentoo...non è che abbia capito molto bene.

Facciamo un esempio pratico, sulla mia situazione attuale.
Ho installato da uno stage 3
finita l'installazione non ho isntallato null'altro e ho dato emerge --update --deep --newuse world
Ora, fatto questo, vorrei "ricompilare tutto". E giusto ? E' inutile? E,indipnendentemente da questo, come si farebbe?
PS: come mai ora, dopo avere dato emerge --update --deep --newuse world, la/le cpu mi stanno sempre, in idle, al 40% ?????????????????????
