IPv6 support: It will not be provided on the NETGEAR DGND3700 with future releases firmware’s. They have stated that they will include the feature on the release of the NETGEAR DGND3700v2, with more stable hardware components. For as you are aware that the DGND3700 is experiencing a stability issue with regard to Internet connection. However, there is no ETA yet of the release of the DGND3700v2.

Mini Review: Overall, this is a product with great potential. It has great speed, good stability, nice looks and a boat load of features. If they polish off the few things Netgear seemed to have skimped on like including decent firmware, having a better circuitry layout and having better aligned heatsinks for it's main chips, this would then be an excellent product that I for one would definitely consider changing to from my beloved DGN2000.

Problemi noti:
  • MTU unable to be set correctly for my ISP (Sky has an MTU of 1500, odd I know)
  • Sky is in the process of changing from PPPoA to MER, this router does not work with Sky’s implementation of MER
  • Using a large drive with lots of MP3s, the router frequently resets and looses access to the drive & contents
  • Using a small drive, then router can still lose the drive connection and require the drive to be unplugged and rescanned before the contents can be accessed
  • Using a single external drive unit with two drives, the router only sees one drive
  • The Traffic Meter only records that a router was on for 23 hours and 59 minutes, despite actually being on 24 hours without interruption
  • Email reporting is not working (same setup works with DGN2000)
  • Unable to download the firmware stored on the Netgear website (works with another router)
