Patch 2.0 (Cherryh) (Rilascio il 22 Febbraio 2018) (Link)

PRINCIPALI MODIFICHE
● NEW: Apocalypse Expansion Features

● DESIGNERS' NOTE: Stellaris has changed quite dramatically for 2.0, and in our experience, for the better. Overall you can expect the game-play to have been slowed down a little, and you now need to make active decisions on which star systems you want to expand into and control.

You will need to build starbases to control systems and defend your borders. You will need to outfit your starbases with shipyards to build military ships, or turn them into powerful fortresses to defend vital choke points and strategically important locations.

How you use your fleets will be different as well, as you now have a limit on how many ships you can have in one fleet. It will also be important to make sure that your fleets are positioned correctly so that they can respond to any threat to your borders - whether be it from pirates or hostile space empires.

The war system has changed as well, and you now need to make claims on an enemy's territory before declaring war on them. This means that it is now possible to declare war for a single system without having to wage a long, drawn-out war for it.

Larger wars have changed as well, with the arrival of the Colossus in the Apocalypse expansion. The Colossus is a powerful super-weapon that can be equipped with various armaments, one of which is capable of blowing up a planet.

We hope you are ready for the Apocalypse.

Patch 2.1 (Niven) (Rilascio il 22 Maggio 2018) (Link)

PRINCIPALI MODIFICHE
● NEW: Distant Stars story pack Features

Patch 2.2 (Le Guin) (Rilascio il 6 Dicembre 2018) (Link)

PRINCIPALI MODIFICHE
● NEW: MegaCorp Expansion Features

● DESIGNERS' NOTE: Stellaris has (once again) undergone bold changes! In 2.2 the focus of the changes has been to rework how you develop planets and to deepen the game's economy. The purpose is to make the management of planets more fun and engaging.

Tiles are gone, and have been replaced with Districts, Buildings, and Jobs. You will now instead construct City Districts, Farming Districts, Mining Districts, and Generator Districts, as well as various Buildings with more specialized roles. Districts and buildings provide Jobs, and a job worked by a Pop will produce resources.

As a planet gains more Pops it will unlock more Building Slots. Buildings work similar to how they did before, but now most of them provide Jobs instead of producing resources directly.

2.2 also introduces a new Trade Route system. What you essentially want to do is to collect Trade Value (found in space and produced on planets) by upgrading a nearby starbase. You should then set up a Trade Route leading back to your home system. Trade Value is converted into usable resources when it reaches your Trade Capital.

We recommend you to take a look at the updated tutorial!

DLC, ESPANSIONI

Infinite Frontiers (eBook) (6,99 €) (Rilasciato il 12 Luglio 2016) (Link)

"Hayden Quinn’s entire life has been about listening. He is the first to hear the signal, a distress call from the stars that answers the ultimate question once and for all: we are not alone.
The Commonwealth of Man is divided by his discovery. Some see it as salvation for their dying world, others insist that answering the call will expose them to advanced alien species and a future of slavery in their thrall. Some are willing to go to extreme lengths to make sure that doesn’t happen.
The first mission is a catastrophic failure, huge ark ships burning in the skies over Unity Prime. The brightest and best—scientists, warriors, historians—are all lost in the fires. The mission is set back years, and the grim truth is that any new crew Unity can muster will always be second best.
But they can’t give up. The signal is still strong. Carson Devolo, captain of the colony ship Terella, has a simple mission objective: find the Source. But can he trust his crew? And what discoveries await if they reach their final destination?"

Infinite Frontiers is a novel based on the Stellaris computer game by Paradox Interactive, written by bestselling author Steven Savile.

UTOPIA (Espansione) (19,99 €) (Rilasciato il 6 Aprile 2017) (Link)

Build a Better Space Empire in Stellaris: Utopia

The stars have called you for millennia and now you walk among them. A universe of possibilities is open to your species as it takes its first fitful steps into the great unknown. Here you can turn your back on the divisive politics of the home planet. Here you can build something new. Here you can unify your people and build that perfect society.

Only in space can you build Utopia.

Utopia is the first major expansion for Stellaris, the critically acclaimed science fiction grand strategy game from Paradox Development Studio. As the title suggests, Utopia gives you new tools to develop your galactic empire and keep your people (or birdfolk or talking mushrooms) happy. Push your species further out into the galaxy with new bonuses for rapid exploration or stay closer to home before striking out against all who would challenge you.

Utopia brings a host of changes to the core of Stellaris, including:
◾MEGASTRUCTURES: Build wondrous structures in your systems including Dyson Spheres and ring worlds, bringing both prestige and major advantages to your race.
◾HABITAT STATIONS: Build “tall” and establish space stations that will house more population, serving the role of planets in a small and confined empire.
◾ASCENSION PERKS: Collect Unity points and adopt Traditions to unlock Ascension Perks that allow you to customize your empire in unique ways. Follow one of the three Ascension Paths and achieve Biological Mastery, give up your biological forms in a Synthetic Evolution, or unlock the full psionic potential of your species through Transcendance.
◾INDOCTRINATION: Influence primitive civilizations and make them adopt your ethics through the use of observation stations, preparing them for enlightenment or annexation.
◾ADVANCED SLAVERY: Maximize the benefits of slavery by choosing specific roles for enthralled species. Have them serve other Pops as Domestic Servants, fight for your empire as Battle Thralls, or keep them as Livestock to feed your people.
◾ADVANCED GOVERNMENTS: Adopt unique civics and authorities for your government. Play as a Fanatic Purifier and shun all diplomacy, become a Hive Mind to avoid political strife or create a multi-species empire born of Syncretic Evolution.

Humanoids Species Pack (7,99 €) (Rilasciato il 7 Dicembre 2017) (Link)

Humanoids Species Pack will feature a selection of new portraits and ship models for players who wish to forge their path among the stars as the irrepressible human race – or at least as a species that resembles humans to some degree. Humanoids, the most-played phenotype, now gain more variety and will finally get their own unique ship class, inspired by the classics of Western science fiction. The pack will also include three music tracks, remixed by at least one human, and will also add three new voiceover sets for digital advisor VIR that will hopefully humanize him at last.

Stellaris: Humanoids Species Pack adds new cosmetic options to Paradox’s empire-building sci-fi strategy title, giving players new choices for their species that are closer to home – or at least closer to our home galaxy. The pack will include:

◾Ten New Portraits of Humanoids
◾New Ship Models Inspired by Humanity’s Imagination
◾Three New Voiceover Sets for VIR
◾Three Remixed Music Tracks to Add to the Stellaris Soundtrack

Stellaris: Apocalypse is a full expansion which redefines stellar warfare for all players with a host of new offensive and defensive options. Destroy entire worlds with terrifying new planet-killer weapons, fight against (or alongside) ruthless space pirates, and maybe discover a few non-violent game features as well.

The Apocalypse expansion includes:
◾THAT'S NO MOON, NEITHER IS THAT ONE, THAT ONE MIGHT BE A MOON, WAIT, NO: Keep the local systems in line with fear of the new “Colossus” planet-killer weapon – a technological terror that eliminates entire worlds from the universe.
◾ALL YOUR BASE ARE BELONG TO YOU: New enormous “Titan” capital ships can lead your fleets to conquest, offering tremendous bonuses to the vessels under their command. Meanwhile, fortify key systems with massive orbital installations and secure your homeworld as an impenetrable bastion among the stars.
◾PIRATES OF THE CONSTELLATION: Watch out for Marauders – space nomads who raid settled empires and carve out their lives on the fringe of civilization. Hire them as mercenaries in your own conflicts, but take care that they don’t unify and trigger a new mid-game crisis!
◾SOME NON-VIOLENT FEATURES: New Ascension Perks and Civics are added in the expansion, along with new Unity Ambitions that provide new ways to spend Unity and customize your development.
◾SOUNDS OF DESTRUCTION: To accompany your planet-shattering expedition, three new musical pieces have been composed by Andreas Waldetoft for your listening pleasure.

◾BRAVE NEW WORLDS: Plot unexplored unique solar systems, each with their own story to tell. Gain technology, resources, and valuable worlds to colonize.
◾THERE'S ALWAYS A BIGGER FISH: Come face to face with a number of unique gargantuan creatures that exist and thrive in the vacuum of space.
