[Recensione] Archos 504

Thank you for purchasing ARCHOS plug-in for your device.

Video podcast plug-in
H.264 – AAC sound
Play back free video files downloaded from the internet with .mp4, .m4v or .mov extensions, encoded with H264 video codec and sound track
in MP3 or AAC format. Listen to audio podcasts, free audio files downloaded from the internet in AAC or M4A format.

2. INSTALLATION

IMPORTANT NOTE: In order for your Podcast plug-in to work properly, you must upgrade your ARCHOS device to a minimum firmware version of
1.5.0. You can download that firmware (.aos file) from www.archos.com/firmware.

1. Save and Unzip the plug-in.
Save the attached zipped file (type .zip) to a convenient place on your PC, such as the desktop, and un-zip it. This will give you a
folder with the plug-in inside of it. Keep this folder and plug-in just in case you need to re-install it at a later date.
If you bought more than one plug-in, you will have to install one after the other, not at the same time.

2. Connect your Archos device to your computer.
Using the ARCHOS USB cable, plug your Archos device into your computer and connect in “PC Hard Drive Mode”. Double click to open the
Archos ‘hard drive’ (your Computer sees the Archos device as if it were an external storage device).

3. Copy the plug-in onto the Archos storage device.Copy and paste the plug-in (type .aas) onto the Archos device, but not into any
specific folder (this is called the root level).

4. Activate the plug-in.
Safely disconnect your ARCHOS device from the computer by using the green disconnect arrow icon in the system tray and then unplug the USB
cable. Your ARCHOS device will automatically start the update. You will be prompted to re-plug in the USB cable in order to power the
device during the update process. The update will take about one minute. Do not unplug the USB cable powering the device during the update
as this could potentially render your device unusable.
