La periferica è caratterizzata in primis dalla velocità di scrittura pari ad 8x in presenza di supporti conformi agli standard DVD±R DL. Utilizza inoltre la tecnologia High Speed ROPC (Running OPC) che effettua un monitoraggio pressochè continuo del processo di masterizzazione (circa 180 volte al secondo) al fine di ottimizzare dinamicamente i principali parametri di funzionamento del writer e di garantire la produzione di supporti affidabili e senza errori.

This program updates the firmware revision from 1.05 to 1.07. Note that this program cannot be used for the DV-W516E with a firmware revision other than 1.05.
