Allora, vedo che la roba che hai dentro nel sources.list č perfetta: dovresti poter installare gaim semplicemente con:
apt-get install gaim
per i temi, devi installare quelli appositi per kde 3.3. o quelli contrassegnati per >3.2.
Ti faccio notare un'altro particolare: alcuni temi si possono installare con metodi diversi che la compilazione, per esempio ti quoto questo che ho trovato su
www.kde-look.org
