ehm, SD ed MMC non sono propro uguali:
anche se possono essere usate nello stesso connettore,
le MMC sono più sottili (quindi forsanche meno robuste), usano meno piste sull' uscita (quindi dovrebbero avere velocità di trasferimento molto inferiori, specialmente rispetto alle SD "ultra"/"high speed"), e mancano della funzione di "cifratura" (in pratica un contrassegno, rimovibile in fase di trasferimento) che contraddistingue le "Secure" Digital
