Il gioco è stato completamente cancellato, e il suo sviluppo abbandonato: secondo quelli della Activision la parte single non sarebbe stata degna di affrontare il mercato...
Enemy territory diventerò così un' espansione gratuita della parte multuplayer.

Surprising news has just come in from Activision. The new Wolfenstein game Enemy Territory has been cancelled. Originally this was going to be a retail release with a single and multiplayer part. However, development of the singleplayer part wasn't turning out all that well it seems. The multiplayer part will still come out though, it will be released as a free downloadable expansion for Return to Castle Wolfenstein.
