Safedisc usa un driver di Windows apposito per funzionare che su Windows 10 non è mai stato portato e che è stato disinstallato anche su Vista e W7 attraverso gli aggiornamenti:
Shortly after the release of Windows 10 in 2015, Microsoft announced that games with SafeDisc DRM would not run on the operating system, citing security concerns over the software due to the way in which it becomes "deeply embedded" in the system. Microsoft stated that supporting SafeDisc could have been a possible loophole for computer viruses to exploit.[4][5] Support for SafeDisc on earlier versions of Windows was withdrawn upon the release of update number 3086255 in 2015.

La versione Steam invece non ha quel problema, basta solo installare il wrapper DX8to11, il sound fix, il widescreen fix, il Ryzen fix per chi ha AMD, Directsound3d, DXwebsetup, VCredist, jpeg fix e le High resolution textures ( che però non funzionano per la versione italiana )

Ah, dimenticavo, SE dopo tutto questo riesci a farlo partire ( non è per niente assicurato ) stuttering e freeze sono molto comuni
