L'endurance in TBW è già in funzione del tempo di ritenzione. Per gli SSD consumer che seguono le specifiche JEDEC è stabilita quando essa scende sotto i 12 mesi a 30°C da spento.
Questo valeva ad esempio per i 600p (TLC), così come per altri SSD Intel; sarebbe strano se avessero cambiato le modalità solo per questi ultimi.
