Are you going to keep quests with several conversation options?

Yes, the devs intend to give everyone the possibility to play the game as they wish.

Are you worried you'll lose part of the public by abandoning the character of Commander Shepard?

No; the game is a new adventure, Shepard's story was done, and it would be stretching the story (hard to translate; overreaching?) to keep going with the same character. They did wish to ensure all of the elements that were loved about the first games will return; here, the dev mentions relationships with characters, races, powers, and combat

Can you talk about gestion of companions? Will there be, as in previous episodes, quests linked to their loyalty?

"Absolutely." The dev mentions that they know these elements were very important to fans.

Have you planned a multiplayer mode, and can you talk about it?

It will be very similar to Mass Effect 3, with additional elements of freedom during combat (as with singleplayer combat). The goal is to make combat more dynamic and to add more "chaos" thanks to Frostbyte.

Will there be ship customization?

Vague answer; it is important to the devs that the player may 'own' their environments by customizing them, but it is ambiguous whether or not this will only be cosmetic

Do you know how many planets will be in the game's final version? Can you about them to us?

"In terms of game size, it's our biggest yet" (ambiguous if they mean just for ME or for Bioware in general). Environments will be inspired by what they tried to do in ME1. Planets will generally have only one biome, inspired by things like Star Wars.

What about the strategic or diplomatic aspect with the different races of the galaxy?

The same tools that were previously available in Mass Effect (conversation, combat) will be available to influence these things, and it will be tied into the exploration aspect; "the order in which things are done will also have an influence". Seems to imply Inquisition's war table system won't be around.

We've seen a female human at the end of the trailer. Will it be possible to choose the race and sex of our hero?

Very interesting here, so I'll translate the whole answer word for word: "Well, ultimately Mass Effect was always about humanity's place in the galaxy. This remains at the center of Mass Effect: Andromeda; yes, having more defined characters allows us to have a story which might be more refined on that front, but as I was saying, since we still have this notion of freedom, without going into details, we're trying to give a little bit more."

What will be the role of our hero in the galaxy? Will we be a soldier, an archaeologist, an explorer?

The role will be "vast" with a versatile character. The hero's goal is to find a "new home for humanity and the races accompanying you" and this kind of environment requires a character with many qualities.

Will we have more information on the race of the Protheans?

"The goal is to reward players with information like this, but not to flood new players with missing information."
In sintesi

Your Mass Effect 3 Ending won't affect Mass Effect: Andromeda

He continued, "From that, you can probably infer the timing of when they [the Andromeda explorers] left, to a certain degree."

Walters couldn't yet share the full details, but he did say the game will take place "hundreds of years" after Mass Effect 3.
