se non usi l'hdmi il segnale PCM può essere al massimo stereo (al limite il decoder può "ricostruire" la scena audio, ma è un ripiego, pessimo direi..)
se ti interessa il 5.1 devi forzatamente usare il dolby
ovviamente vale solo per l'ascolto in cuffia, dato che con le casse non hai scelta
