Salve gente. Mi rivolgo a voi dopo aver smanettato parecchio e trovato una sola risposta utile al mio problema. Non l'ho ancora provata solo perché spero possa risolvere senza rismontare il mio PC.
Il problema principale è che ho acquistato 4 Gb di ram da aggiungere ai miei 2+2 così da averne 8, ma purtroppo sembra che la mia scheda madre non riesca a leggerne più di 4.
La scheda è la ASUS P7P55LX e le caratteristiche tecniche le troviamo

Da quel poco che riesco a capire sembra che possa arrivare a 16Gb.
Provando le varie soluzioni ho aggiornato il bios all'ultimo disponibile per sistemi Windows 7 x64 oltre ad aver impostato 1333mhz come frequenza e 1.5 volt (come indicato dalle memorie RAM in dotazione).
Il sistema dice sempre lo stesso, il bios anche. Nono so come e se posso recuperare l'investimento fatto sulla RAM.

Any way i had the problem when i installed 4GB more of memory (to make 8GB total) that my computer on recognized 4GB as usable and put the rest under "Hardware Reserved".
Steps i took for fix:
In bios make sure "Memory remapping" is enabled
Update bios to latest version
Voltage for DRAM to company specs (1.60v in my case)
---at this point none of it fixed the problem---
but then i RESEATED THE CPU AND DIMMS - afterwards my bios detected the Reseat cpu as a new cpu and subsequently detected all 8GB of memory.
So in my case if you have a rig similar to mine you have to reseat your CPU and heatsink for your 8GB of ram to become usable. Don't waste your time looking for an easy fix - it took me hours to no avail. Reseating takes some time if you do it right - but in the long run your PC runs cooler and it solved this problem.

In pratica da quel che ho capito dovrei togliere e rimettere la cpu dallo slot.
Come ultimo tentativo lo farei, ma aspetto prima le vostre risposte!.
