Mi rispondo da solo, quella di unitymedia non è VDSL2, pare che sia DOCSIS 3.0, connessione tramite cavo coassiale, aka cable modem, molto diffusa in Europa per via della cable TV.
Quanto ai 100 Mb in VDSL2 a mio avviso c'è un po' troppo ottimismo in giro:
